this is mainly a follow-up to be viewed and read by user "brains_expel_hair" hoping i spelled it right, but all are free to come in and take a peak and toss some input if you wish. however, try not to comment your opinions unless you've taken the time to read my full story here:

DISCLAIMER!!: put into perspective before you go telling me to get propecia, these pictures were taken about a foot and a half away from two direct 100 watt light bulbs that light my bathroom. camera was set in the medicine cabinet. also, my hair is very greasy as you can tell... because i skated earlier and did not wash yet. :D but the pictures do their justice well enough. enjoy

i took pictures of most key areas of my head to see hair density and other things. also, i felt the need to blot out my face, even though if you know i skate and just smashed my head, you'll know who i am.... but hey, if you're reading this on this website, you're obviously worried about your head too! :)

figure 1: (sort of) straight shot, parted hairline to vertex. wavy *** part if you ask me lol

figure 2: density, right side of head. parted where the middle of the horse shoe would be... sickeningly thing to be in a horse shoe area :(

figure 3: left side (see figure 2)

Figure 4: how i wear my hair normally without any exposure to hair flaws, basically how i go about my day, minus how filthy it is...

figure 5: day to day hair, like fig. 4 but back of the head instead of front. black circle indicates my current head wound and missing patch of hair due to a recent injury as stated in conversation with brains expel hair in my story linked above.

figure 6: about an 1 or 2 inch radius of my recent head injury. exposed. pretty much smack dab in the center, slightly to the left, about an inch below vertex.. nasty, yeah...but, very vital to a post about hair health. hope you like it lol.

figure 7: hairline, hair pushed back. full head shot. general lay of the land

figure 8: back of head, density. horseshoe density and another guest appearance of my sweet gash. really wish i didn't get that gash....because it's kinda ruining the shots.

so thats basically what im dealing with. hope BEH and others can help me get a little more acquainted with my situation before i get my blood work done. yeah, it looks like a group of rats chewed on my head when examined closely, but im fairly certain it isn't androgenic alopecia. i think figure 4 would look a little more awkward if that was the case... also seeing that there are virtually no bald men in my family. but hey.... im open.

thanks

Argh, I find it difficult to judge light blonde hair loss personally. Technically I think you're supposed to have greater hair density than a brunette but the lack of severe contrast that's visible on a brunette's head makes it a little more difficult to properly put things into perspective.

It definitely does seem like any thinning you're experiencing is an all over sort of thing, certainly not limited only to the crown as you would expect in androgenic alopecia. Best of luck getting an accurate diagnosis, do you know what sort of blood work you are getting done or which type of doctor you're going to?
