Four Months on Minoxidil- no improvements

After four months of rogaine foam, use I have not seen any change. If anyting I feel like I have lost a few hairs. (I use finasteride and have so for the past 5 years.)

Will I see any change if I continue to use the rogaine?

This post got a lot of views but no response so I'll try chime in.

I'd stick with it, I don't know if you'll see results but the general advice is to give it a year.

I've been taking it for 8momths and as far as I can see there hasn't been much change, I did have a shed so I'm hopeful that the regrowth will come, at the very least it seems to be maintaining.

finasteride definetly helped me regrow back hair that I lost. But over the past four years, the hairs have at a very sloooow rate begun to thin. So I decided to get on minoxidil after five years. I wonder if it hasn't worked right away because the hairs are strong because of the finasteride and when they normally fall out, thats when the new thicker hairs because of the minoxidil will appear.

Thoughts?

I was wondering the same thing. I've been on minoxidil for nearly 3 months and seen no change or shedding or anything so am thinking I might be a poor responder. I'm pretty sure the leaflet it came with said to stop using after 4 months if you see no results. Not sure what I'll do when I get to 4 months, am tempted to continue and see but don't want my hair to become dependent on minoxidil.
