Hey guys,

I am running out of Dutasteride after being on it for about a year. I have not gained sh*t from it compared to finasteride, that I have now been on for 2 years +.

I wish not to continue on Dutasteride as it's getting harder for me to get hold of.

Do you think I will f*** up my hair if I go back to only use Finasteride? (I have taken both all a long). Anyone with similar experience?

Well if dutasteride isn't working I don't think finasteride will work either. dutasteride is like "super finasteride".

I don't think anyone can say how much you will lose when regressing back to finasteride. Why is dutasteride getting harder for you to obtain?

if all the benfits you reaped were from finasteride then you should be ok with finasteride.

Try reducing your dose gradually. The problem with any addition to a regimen is the fear of loss when you drop it, even if you aren't sure it did anything for you. I'm kind of like that with 15% minoxidil, it's expensive and not sure it made much difference but aim afraid to drop it and go back to just 5%. Added dutasteride 3 times a week in May, no difference yet but you can bet I'll be too afraid to drop it

This is why I'm not adding anything to my regimen outside of the big 3 unless I were to experience absolutely 0 improvement or a drop from baseline after a reasonable amount of time. I don't want to get stuck using expensive and pain in the *** mixtures/meds if I'm not certain they're crucial to my maintenance.

I've never had any gains. Hair got shittier and shittier after 1,5 year on treatment. My hair started going south when I was 17 already... I have started gradually lowering my dosis, but man I hope my finasteride won't work less efficient because of this little 1 year trial of dutasteride

dutasteride is getting harder to get because the pharmacies in UK dont ship outside UK anymore..

dutasteride also spikes your T a lot higher then finasteride which in some men for unknown reasons could be a bad thing. No one really knows that, but I would agree based off what exists now dutasteride should in theory always be better
I just think its dangerous to say things for sure when we lack so much understanding on how it works
