frontal region

after eleven months of treatment using various doses of minoxidil in conjunction with regular scalp massages I am beginning to notice patches of small visible fine hair in the frontal region . over the last two weeks these small fine hairs are beginning to sprout but they are very fine in appearance . it has been ten years since I had some clusters of hair in the frontal region so it will be interesting to see how these emerging patches develop . As the hair has been dormant for such a long period it has taken around eleven months for hairs to sprout in this region - what length of time roughly would it take for these hairs to begin to grow and strengthen their form . these hairs are visible during the day but unfortunately my camera cant really pick them up as they have just sprouted within the last two weeks .
the photo here was taken about two weeks ago and another area of regrowth which is visible is occurring on the temporal sides as they are starting to fill out slowly . progress is tediously slow as i am a diffuse thinner and the temporal regions were the first areas to experience regrowth but i would expect the frontal region to take another six to eight months to develop . any thoughts app Picture 476.jpg

Mate, you are to far gone.

I don't want to sound like im reigning on your parade, but their is nothing left.

have you thought about wearing a hair system, and taking small doses of finasteride to maintain your sides?

I am in similar position as yours. Diffuse thinner big time. At exactly 11 months of big3 now.

Checkout by before and after pic here: http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interact/showthread.php/96211-Guess-my-age-in-these-photos-pics

Top and other areas took 4-6 months to show results and are now in a v good position. Temples are showing v thin few hairs just about now. I expect it to take at least another year for it to show similar results as other areas i.e. 2-3 times slower.
I shaved my head at Christmas right after the picture. Non male pattern baldness areas are at #4-#6 (13-19mm), Crown and other male pattern baldness areas at #2-3 (6-9mm). Front and temples are anywhere from #0-#2 (0-6mm). The variation in lengths is really high at the front, some hair are upto 6mm some are barely showing. All are much thinner thyan other areas but pigmented. You get the idea.

My frontal region grows hair like wildfire...gotta trim fortnightly.

In all seriousness, I don't think minoxidil alone without finasteride will work well for most people.

thanks , earlier i did consider a transplant but my donor hairs were not suitable as they were quite miniaturised and i am a diffuse thinner . certain areas of my hair are quite fine and any regrowth that does occur takes a long period of time before any results become visible so far it has been eleven months and the temporal side region is starting to show slow signs of regrowth and more recently very fine patches of sprouting hairs are starting to emerge in the front section but they are very fine and only a few mm in length . I use 1ml of 15% minoxidol in the morning and a bit of 5% provilus solution at night in conjunction with a regular zinc and biotin tablets but i see these as more supplementary factors and try not to rely solely on tablets and tonics for regrowth . the regular massage techniques seem to be helping in increasing blood flow to the scalp region too

How long until you noticed some sort of growth and did these hairs develop into proper hair so to speak?
