First of all, i'll apologize for incoming grammatical mistakes.
Secondly, this might contain loads of words and won't help you in any case with hair loss you're experiencing, so i'll just save your time by this point.
Third one, it really won't make sense to any of you i assume, it just will make me feel better to speak out, but i'll understand if moderators will decide to dump this topic.

So i'm 23 years old and wasn't really concerned about hair loss, i just though it will get me in my late 40s (i genuinely had no idea how it works). I won't tell what turned me to care about hairs because it's a separate long story. Whatever. My dad is bald, my mother's dad had his hairs fully till the grave. So at first i thought i've dodged the bullet (yeah i belived this generic bullsh*t "if ur mom's dad not bald u're safe most likely). Guess i've
inherited hair loss from dad's grandad, both him and my father had the same pattern.

Whatever. I've got over it: my dad had a fair amount of hairs till like 35, so i've thought i'll spend my youth without bothering much. At the same time i was digging more info about hair loss in case there were any ways to slower it at least. Luckily, there were solutions (you know, the big 3).

I guess i've noticed my hair loss quite early: hair line hasn't moved just yet, at the same time i'm diffusing all over the top (sometimes i keep telling myself that seeing scalp after a buzz cut is fine, at the same time i look at photos of my head and at some light condition it's ok, but sometimes it's really awful - i can attach photos if anyone interested lol).

I was slowly killing my scalp condition for years without noticing it: i was washing my head for like 4 years with quite hot water and now my hairs getting greasy the next day - hopefully nizoral 2% will help to solve this one.

More important thing to mention is that i wasn't in doubts for long about using finasteride or not, so i've bought generic one (5 mg) without any troubles (see, luck is my fellow traveler), started to take 1.25/day for a month in June, then after a month, full pack of sides just started to appear: lower libido, weak erections, broken mood. I've dropped. Now, recently i've decided to give it a second chance with lower dosage (0.5 every other day) but i don't think it will make any sense, probably sides will come back just later than a month.

It's really depressing. I mean, the only possible solution that i was relying on, unlikely to help, more chances to harm even. At the same time i still belive i have a fair amount of hairs and time, in fact my hair line hasn't moved yet, just got temple hairs thinning, although when i'm with a buzz cut, thinning all over the top is noticeable as well: you know, when you're looking in the mirror, your scalp getting visible at any angle. Whatever. I can just attach photos so you'll get what i'm talking about

I like this community. I have never seen toxic people there, everyone trying to help each other, everyone sharing their knowledge which was and still is very helpful to me as well. Just wanted to share something i'm passing through because you're the only people who will understand, and this is what i need for now.

Thanks for those who had enough patience to read this broken essay and good luck to everyone in their battle with hair loss. In case if you have any questions or thoughts about words above - feel free to share em!

Mmm
You may be wrong
Sides are dose-dependent
Besides, you might even go for 0.25: I have personally seen pictures of people using 0.25 and improving A LOT.
Good luck.

I hope so. I really do! Although my main concern for now is diffuse thinning (even tho i'm still in doubts about diffuse thinning being in my case - might be just a density loss, i can't figure). Hopefully nizoral will help with this.

After taking my first pill cut of finasteride (for the first time i mean), i've got that testicular "ache", now, after taking a lower dosage and with a 2 week pause, no "ache" so it kinda gives hope.

Ball ache passes soon. You should watch out for erectile functionality. If that does not turn out to be a problem, you should go on IMO.

Nah, i mean, "ache" wasn't a problem itself, rather a sign of some inside processes going wrong.
