Hell everyone. I just wanted to updated the forum members on my progress.

I read a lot of posts where people don't update throughout the journey and I promise I will as I've been lurking these forums since I got the surgery 4 months back.

I had a 2500 FUE procedure done on October 6 2017 in Beverly Hills at Advanced Hair. I have to double check, but I believe it was near $12K.

The doctor does all the drawings and hairline recommendations. I wanted it a little lower but may do that a few years down the line. Two of the staff, one who is PA does all the extractions.

The doctor himself does every last incision as that's the most important part of the process. His staff then implants the hairs, but he made several suggestions to them as they did it.

Currently I am only at 4 months and 1 week post op and already super happy with the results. I know some people on these forums have nothing at 4 months, so I was nervous but can say that I'm a believer in the process now.

Here is a before and after. Like I said, I will continue to update this thread as it progresses. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the reply! Ha I didn't know that about Beverly Hills doctors.

I live in Orange County so Beverly Hills was just a small drive away.

Yeah it was conservative, but this was my first transplant. I wanted to play it semi safe the first time around. I'll definitely lower it a bit in the future and work on the temples. Maybe 2-3 years from now.

I was worried around 2 months like most newbies, but can now say a lot has happened in two months. The ugly duckling phase was tough. Wore a hat everywhere.

The price isn't bad. Do u know what punch size they used? Was the fue tool motorized or manual? How long did the procedure take?

I live in oc too I was recommended by a derm to check out dr umar in Redondo beach and parsa mohebi in torrance. I think there's also dr baubac hayatdavoudi in Beverly Hills but I hear he is very pricey.

Do u have more before and after pics?

It was Dr Berry Weiss. I dont know the punch size but at 4.5 months at a 1 guard, it's virtually undetectable. They did a wonderful job. Price around here isn't too bad, but comparing to Turkey... big time.

I'll post some more before photos later today!

Here some more before photos. I'll take some more after photos in about two weeks. I got a haircut about a week ago because my hair was growing out so uneven.

Thanks for the pics. What Norwood were u before? Was ur crown fully intact?

My crown was intact because of finasteride and minoxidil. I did get some grafts placed there. If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't have put any there, but it's all hindsight.

Norwood was probably a 3 going on a 4.

Awesome result, the Doctor seems to have very strong ethics and did what was reasonable for your situation. You should be thrilled...took 10 years off you!

Yeah they really did a great job. I'm really happy with the team. The doctor definitely wanted to play it safe and I think that was smart for my first transplant at 27 years old.

I got a short haircut two weeks ago (even things out) so the appearance doesn't look as "full" right now. I'm going to update photos at the 6 month mark. Roughly 3 weeks from now.

No temples filled in thats for sure. Why were the temples not filled.

That's a good question. I would say because I asked for the crown instead. As mentioned above, I would have done it differently with what I know now, but nothing 500 grafts on each side shouldn't fix.

That's the journey! Learning as I go but nothing that is irreversible :)

I lied. The whole point is progress. Just snapped these one my way out to Disneyland with my wife. Exactly 5 months in now. Just the allusion of a hairline is a breath of fresh air. Like I said. I cut pretty short two weeks back to even everything out, so keep that in mind. And yes, I will have a second pass maybe in two years for the temple points.

Looks good.
A future hair transplant with density packing on hairline would be great. Not needed, but would add to it hugely .
