Hey all,

Wondering if it’s worth my time and money to get a procedure if I’m not willing to take finasteride. I’m 29 and would be willing to do a second surgery. Which brings me to my first question, can you harvest the same area twice? I have been shopping around in Turkey, and may take a trip this next fall/winter. I am a IIII vortex, both sides of the family are bald. Everyone said I need around 3600 total grafts.
Any input from the experts?

Ive had 2 hair transplants. Around 4000 in the frontal 3rd area with two surgeries over the years, They are great up to around 2 years then they start to thin a bit. So my advice is to take at least topical finasteride or with minoxidil.
The hairline will take up more grafts as they are singles and pairs. They can harvest from the same area over multiple surgeries until you have depleted the donor area. Normally around 40-50 follicle cm2 depending on hair characteristics.

Im maintaining on oral min 2x daily. Slight growth but nothing major. Looking to get topical finasteride + min to use at night.

I think if having a hair transplant you definitely need a dht reducer of some sort, as the follicles on the bk of head that are moved to the front are not 100% resistant to dht.
