genhair.com spironolactone 2% - opinions

My first batch arrived this morning, and my first impression doesnt inspire much confidence in it. The packaging looks as if its homemade, The power of the spray is pathetic, meaning it doesnt even hit the scalp unless you hold it directly against it, God help anyone who tries to use it who doesn't buzz their hair really tight. Saying all this I don't give a turd about any of the above if it grows my hair. If my first impression is anything to go by, I think I'll be ordering spironolactone 2% from minoxidil.com in the future.

Hey guys, does this spironolactone smell at all? And how fast does it dry and is it greasy? I think genhair is legit because people have been claiming good results with their Flutamide lotion and also many users reported side effects from it so it must be legit. Thanks guys!

I've been using it about a week, twice a day. As far as I'm aware there is no smell off it. It does leave the scalp a bit brown, so I only apply it in the evening. It also means you have to wash your hair every morning to get rid of the brown residue. I actually find it pretty quick drying, and no where near as greasy as minoxidil. The spray on the genhair bottle is pretty weak to be honest.
I have noticed way less hairs on my pillow each morning, on my hand when I wash my hair and when I run a comb through my hair since I started using it, but I can't say for certian if it is the genhair spironolactone because I added Tricomin, and spironolactone 5% cream on the very same day.

I personally think genhair is a scam. The company that they operate under, corsys LLC, runs a number or scam websites - google them and you will get websites selling penis enlargement pills, pheremones, etc. I emailed them about this and they didn't respond.

I've e-mailed them twice asking questions about their company before I would place orders. I was very genuine and really wanted to order from them....never got a reponse. There are guys on this forum that swear genhair's minoxidil is ok, though. I'm sure there products are fine. The way their business is run, however, may be questionable.

spironolactone is an unproven treatment and is a waste of money..IMHO

Unfortunately, Dr. Proctor didn't save the paper, but he remembered the general findings from it.
3) A third study (yes, it was published) was on the effect of topical spironolactone on hairloss in women, and found a favorable effect.
4) Another study by Rittmaster in which he found a suppressive effect of topical spironolactone on body hirsutism in women (using a cream vehicle). I copied a lengthy excerpt from it in my post "spironolactone CREAM versus spironolactone SOLUTIONS", which is also still available on my Web site.

After all my research I have belief in spironolactone.
I use Dr. Lee's 2%. It's not a hassle, doesn't leave my scalp brown, has a hint of odor that is brought out more when put in contact with Minoxidil (Mercaptan smell).
I personally have been using Xandrox 5% 2x daily & spironolactone 2% once daily for nine days and I have noticed a dramatic decrease in shedding of terminal hair. I'm sure I will have some sort of minoxidil shed soon, but doing the pull test I am getting 90% less hair now than I was before minoxidil & spironolactone. I usually can't get any hair on a pull test inside of the treated region. I do get the occasional one and I have noticed a huge decrease in shower/daily shedding. I was quite amazed honestly, I don't know what of the two it was but I was truly astounded and cannot wait for the months to go by to see the progess.

I know, I know...it isn't as rigorous as we'd all like to see (no haircounts or hairweights), and those sample before-and-after photos are pretty grainy, but the researchers do think the results were significant...

Well it SMELLS the same as Dr Lee's spironolactone? IMO anyway.

Sorry, I don't actually have it organized so you can go to it, view the contents from a menu, and download whatever scans/files you wish. I just have a loose collection of files which I cite individually from time-to-time for people to download. I know I should get something more professional, but this serves me reasonably well anyway.
