I always hear ppl say workout and get ripped if your gonna be able to pull of the complete bald look. I saw a picture of Ll cool j without his hat and he looks rather odd to me. What is it about his head that doesn't look right? I mean, he's in great shape and hes also black, but he doesn't look good to me even tho he is all those things. Here is a pic.

Yeah your right. It's the conehead!! So much for working out when your head is shaped like that.

Baldness is often associated with high-performance athletics (Michael Jordan et al), so if you're going bald and want to look like a standard, desirable male archetype, getting buff is one way to do it.

True, the conehead look isn't ideal if that's the headshape you've been dealt, but then again looking it at from the other side of the coin, if he kept hold of a patchy nw3/4 or whatever hair he has left and grew it out on top of that conehead, proportion and symmetry wise, it would look 100 x worse than it looks now.

Anyhow, by his age (mid 40s) most men are well on the way to losing most of their hair anyway, so he's hardly alone. Also hair or no hair, having a physique like this as a 42 year old man, puts him ahead of 99% of the competition who all have wrinkles, beer bellies, gyno and love handles by this point.

That would be an impressive physique for a 25 year old, nevermind a 42 year old.
