"Glucose is the vehicle by which energy gets from digested food to the cells of the body. In Type I diabetes mellitus, insufficient insulin is available to help get glucose out of the blood and into the cells of the body. "
Its been posted that high levels of insulin results in hairloss but its insulin that is needed to drive glucose. Metabolism of hair cells is important to healthy thick hair and glucose is essential to metabolism. These are just a few notes I wanted to post on my research into hairloss.

Its true that Insulin is needed for glucose uptake. But excess insulin (as seen in obese patients) causes many other complications throughout the body. Including constrition of vessels (which obviously deprives cells of nutrients) the reaserch in ALL Of the functions of insulin is still ongiong. But its certain that it does more than jus thelp w/ the uptake of Glucose into cells. Normal inuslin levels -->good too much insulin-->Bad. We dont' know more than that as of now.

Ohh too much insulin indicates a HIGH propensity for developing diabetes. hope that helps.

No Biz i meant insulin. Hyperinsulemia is a predicator to Type II diabetes. Thats is why people w/ high levels of insulin are called prediabetics.

Insulin itself acts to constrict Blood Vessels i believe its through suppression of Nitric Oxide production in endothelial cells.
