Going Bald In Less Than A Year, Need Advice

Shedding hair has nothing to do with balding, unless the hair isn’t growing back Aka minatiruazation. My girlfriend sheds like a dog, she’s not going bald. For all you know this guy accumulates that hair in his sink over days of combing and then snaps a pic. He started this thread in 2017, and his hair is the same. He’s also in his 40s. Let this thread die

I have stayed on Propecia, added topical Dutasteride, and RU twice daily staying on oral minoxidil. This has been steady with no HCG or Clomid for almost 5 months.

hairline and temples diffusing with clear miniaturization. Bauman’s dermoscopy revealed this but the women didn’t do the counting.
Not sure people notice but I do. 200+ hairs daily since 2017. Under 50% density.

Anyway, thought I’d update. Not sure where to turn. My e and prolactin are high and I have clear sides.

I suggest to stick to finasteride for at least two years. I have been on finasteride for around 9 months and my right temple is still getting worse. I dont think once you pop that pill hair loss would be immediately stopped. Give it more time then re-assess.

I’m at about 2.5 years, but started oral went topical then back to oral. Steady decline.if not sure sides I wouldn’t even question and stay Propecia only with RU for scalp testosterone. This combo should be a winning stack.

Will go systemic. Use progesterone cream, is the natural finasteride, it is how your body reduce DHT , and better , it also reduce estrogen. So , even if it go systemic, no side effects.

Your hair literally looks phenomenal for 44, which is why I said what I did. If your so concerned, get a transplant? At 44 your a perfect candidate

I guess people like us just cant respond well with drugs. If 2.5 years on finasteride still wont reduce shedding and receasion, there is nothing much we can do unless estrogen related drugs

Have you done a scalp biopsy? Maybe there’s something else to it if that stack’s not enough

You've probably put yourself in a constant state of telogen effluvium with the amount of chopping and changing you do with your regime.

I would kill for hair like yours at your age but each to their own.

How long would you need to stay on the same regimen to rule out chronic Telogen Effluvium on top of the male pattern baldness? I am really struggling with Propecia sides even after cutting back dose and hair is still receding? The advice I have been running with is to add back some HCG to help with sides but it kills my hair and I end up probably worse off than no Propecia.

current regimen:
.25 Propecia daily
50mg RU 2x daily
5mg Oral Minoxidil
Topcial Dutasteride .50 PGE x2 week after washing.

sides:
depression
ED
Loss of sensation and weird tightening
no libido

Over the summer I shifted from topical Finasteride to oral and lost ground after the iron infusions were stopped. At least my mood was decent on the HCG but after stopping it’s been a nightmare.

should I just stop Propecia? Stop the topcial Dutasteride? I can’t keep going with the sides and no HCG to recover. I am ok with a transplant but fear I’ll never stabilize. The hairline was perfect until May before was crown only. Still shedding 200+ hairs and most are about 3-4 inches and weak.

Any more information on progesterone cream? Read a little about use for mood but can’t find much as a topical for AA?
