All is essentially balanced T jumped when starting AA’s and hairline which had zero thinning, thinned out in under 6 months. I’d want to kill myself because I’d be much better if I never did a single f*****g thing and instead listened to hair doctors that started me in minoxidil shed no recovery, Propecia, shed sides hairline gone, no recovery. This all started out of the blue at 39/40 when some old *** doctor gave me thyroid medication I didn’t need. Really ruined my life.
How can you be so certain this would have not happened if you did nothing? You just don't understand how genetics work. A gene can express itself later in life. You have the genes. Now they are expressing their self. Why can't you accept you are aging? And now you are saying you don't have Hashimoto's? You keep forgetting the same exact thing happened to me. You saw my hair. Your reaction was it was better than yours. Funny how my reaction is yours is better than mine. Wolf Pack, Joan, Northface, and Calikid all have confirmed you have me beat. Not that I am competing with you but it's just you are so delusional to how bad your situation truly presents. You are your own worst critic. BDD classic reaction. I am my own worst critic too. So I can understand your thought process but stop posting photos of minor hair loss and calling it aggressive balding. You already got our validation that your situation is unfortunate but it can happen to any of us even with treatments. You would be just fine with taking finasteride and using topical minoxidil and hoping for the best. Why can't you do that? I have and my life is so much better now. If you need to talk any further, PM me anytime.

Are you physically active and if so how much? Have you done AS?
AS? I was a frequent marathoner and Ironman. Stopped both when my hair started falling out. Now I lift only 6 days a week. I’m strong but it’s probably only making the hairloss worse.

I'll leave it this a 3rd time, because I understand how mental health can cause suffering despite one's circumstances in life. From the richest, most intelligent, best looking person to the poorest, dumbest, and ugliest person. It can destroy anybody.

If I was you I'd take 0.25mg or 0.5mg a day or 1mg three times a week and stop everything else. You do not need minoxydil, and it can cause shed after shed, which you have to be aware of.

Maybe do some light scalp massages or gentle brushing with a padded brush, either one for 10 to 20 minutes a day, or really as you feel like it because it's just an extra thing. These help with blood flow and are sort of like mini or faux microneedling, if you will.

Do the two things above for at least 1 year.
I want to stop the oral minoxidil but afraid of the shed of dependent hair, right now 80% of shed hairs are all weaker 4-5 inch hairs. With only a few under 1 inch. All are whispy. I cut off most of the length but no change in the shedding. I stop the shedding and I’ll be content it’s just too much too often.

Looking at the pictures that you posted 4 years ago I can see no difference at all. If you really have male pattern baldness you maintained well.
Minoxidil causes constant shedding cycles in some individuals, including me. Your hair will look like sh*t for few months, and than it will look good again.
Just as others said, keep it simple-minoxidil and fina is probably more than enough. You don't have typical male pattern baldness, hundreds of hairs that you see in sink means nothing when they will grow back again.

Thanks. Trying to hang onto some hope. Freaked out and started adding back low dose Propecia with topical Dutasteride and RU. Still the shed is brutal and constant.

if I switched from oral minoxidil to a topical Dutasteride with minoxidil should I expect a huge shed?

When I switched from liquid to OM I believe it helped reduce shedding. Idk about the other way around.

Thanks reread that post. I’ve given up on Telogen Effluvium a long time ago but still haven’t been able to stop shedding. I know by trying to navigate sides from AAs I haven’t been very consistent. I did have a solid year with only topical Finasteride and oral minoxidil that shed but didn’t show a net loss. Sides however became an issue and in recovering from sides with HCG/clomid per doctor made things worse. Propecia garner fertility parameters and more than anything caused serious depression even as a topical only treatment.

started topical Dutasteride in September and stopped HCG. September through January I experienced the most loss in three years. I am still using topical Dutasteride and I’m easing in low dose Propecia, still on oral minoxidil.

doctors prescribed a topical steroid after her pill test showed loos in safe area. Not sure if I should try that.

I do not exaggerate the shed, I count several times a week. It is constant and always over 200 a day.

I'm much younger and in a much worse position than you. My anxiety also ramps up the longer my hair gets, so advice to you is to work down to a much shorter style. Not more than an inch and a half on top.

I’m just not buying the ‘age related’ thinning bullshit. This started when a bad doctor fucked with my hormones and nothing has been right since, the temples are fucked and the over all density is like a Chemo patient. I am using a ton of sh*t topical Dutasteride, 100mg RU oral minoxidil and to be honest it only gets f*****g worse. I am going to f*****g kill myself.

This was t random gene expression it was medical malpractice. I still have doctors that will not call it male pattern baldness even though I’ve had 2 biopsies. I’m sure they will feel no guilt when I’m dead or the doctors that told me HCG was hair safe to recover from PFS

You always do your best to make your hair look the worst possible. Why do you care about the way your hair looks in those situations? I dont even want to know what my hair looks like when it's wet. The only thing that is important is whether you have coverage when it is dry, which you clearly do. Stop whining like a little girl.

You are in your forties, post pics of your hair dry, not wet and styled in the worst ways possible... you don't even have any greys ffs. Im not doubting the mental impact it is having on you but you need to come to the realization that it is no way near as bad as you think.

You are literally NW0 with average hair density.
Cut your hair short, stop using topicals and stick to fina and oral minoxidil. There is literally no way I could have long hair during the ''shed'' months. I would be losing hundreds of hairs each day, way above 200-maybe close to 500.

I am pretty sure you got self-inflicted hormonal imbalance. It might stay as a chronical issue. Don't want to sound rude, sry.

Did you got your hormones etc tested?
