Hi all,

Been browsing through these boards for a while getting some good info. Now, I have a problem and need your help.

Few weeks from now, I will be best man at my friends wedding. My hair isnt that bad really - I have a bit of thinning in the front where the scalp becomes a bit visible when exposed to strong light. The rest of the hair is fine - but there is thinning in the temple and frontal areas. The main issue is that I have jet back blair so the contrast between the hair and scalp is significant.

So in a few weeks I have to go for a wedding at which I will be best man. Now there will be many pictures taken and obviously strong lights on us all through the event for the pics and videos.

From my research thus far I have narrowed by choices down to toppik and couvre. My only concern and limitation is that there has to be NO room whatsoever for error or slipups - i.e., is there any risk of being discovered with Toppik or Couvre?

I am leaning more towards putting some couvre on for that night - but again, if there is any risk people can tell, or photos/video will look strange, then I'd have to think again b4 using it. With Toppik, I am worried that some of the fibres might fall on my foredead or face - and that would be hugely embarassing!

Is dermatch like couvre? Is it better?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

P.S. on another note, I heard that couvre can look fake in bright light/can rub off easily/is harmful to use. Any thoughts on this?

I think toppik is your best bet. They sell a holding spray that locks the fibers in place. Everybody should use this per the instructions of Toppik but most dont. Check it out, I think that is your best bet.

Go with Toppik

I would use Toppik. I've used it in the past and I've been really impressed by what it can do.

especially for frontal areas, go with toppik. less of a hassle to put on, and it's not like your painting your scalp, just putting some ash on it. just be sure to get the right color.

Thanks for the tips guys - I will try out Toppik then. So if I use it as per instructions with the spray, I should be good for the night? Also, I use a kind of pomade cream on my hair for styling usually, so I guess I cant use that with toppikand the spray?
