Going to doctor tomorrow quick question

So i am going into the doctor tomorrow to get blood test and i was also thinking of asking him about a propecia or proscar prescription. Here is the problem, i am in the United States, i have been taking fincar for the last year and my hair seems to have improved greatly while taking it on top of the minoxidil.

1. Should i mention to him that i was ordering finasteride without a prescription from overseas and it seems to be working.

2. Not mention it and and risk him not prescribing it because my hair looks pretty decent right now.

I also know some doctors wouldnt like to prescribe finasteride to someone in their early 20's as myself so should i just avoid the first to options and just ask him what his opinion on someone my age taking it is and maybe hault finasteride if he doesnt recommend it.

I think you should mention it since its not illegal to imort medication for personal use. If you tell him its working & you are going to continue whether he prescribes it or not it may convince him to give you the precription.

I have decided to go in as well, depending on what he tells me after reading some other threads about not sperm count but sperm health i am kinda questioning whether to be on it and curious to what my doctor would say. I am sure he would frown upon me getting it without a prescription so that why im gonna ask. Good luck.

A good Doctor will always ask if you've started taking any new meds that he doesn't know about.

That would be your opportunity to fess up. Even if he's not happy w/ your decision - what's he gonna do?

A good Doctor will always ask if you've started taking any new meds that he doesn't know about.

Not much he can do, guess i will just let him know.

Last time I went to the Doctor - I had to tell him about the Proscar AND the tamoxifen.

He did a slight double-take, asked who prescribed the stuff - and that's pretty much when I filled him in on everything I'd been doing.

Didn't phase him in the slightest. He went on to tell me everything he knew about those meds - and everything was cool.
