I have an appointment next week with my gp, which is basically just a check up relating to something else but in the last few weeks ive noticed that my nipples have become puffed out and when my nipples are soft I can feel a fairly disturbing lump behind them. Now ive looked online and im still at probably stage one of gyno so maybe there's something I can do as its not really noticeable unless you look real close (obviously I stopped spironolactone now but am continuing dutasteride/ru)
The problem is I don't know how to approach this as I developed gyno from taking oral spironolactone. Clearly this is no ones fault but my own but shall I admit my hair loss struggle to my doctor, im torn as my gp has a full head of hair at about 40 and im 24 and ill doubt he'll understand the desperation and reasoning behind my decision to take oral spironolactone as it was purely down to the anguish of seeing safer treatments like finasteride fail me.
If worse come to worse and I need surgery (which I doubt at this point) is it better I come clean and say it was my fault for taking off label pills or just pretend I have no idea where this gyno came from. Im guessing he'll give me a blood test so he'll probably know eventually.
Its not severe or anything yet but is gyno surgery available on the nhs for any UK people out there as theres no way I could afford it if I need it.
