good shed vs. bad shed

I was hardly losing anything for past 3 months into the treatment of big 3. All the sudden, I am seeing a little bit increase in shedding. Before 3 days ago, I run through my hair with comb/hair and nothing would come out, but now I drop 2-3 hairs per round. All these hairs are short or medium length, but very thin. Since I am not loing any thick and long hair, I guess there won't be any appearance change, but I am curious if this is a good thing? Will these thin hairs that I am losing now will come out thicker in the future? Is this a good shed? Thin and fine hair has a bit thicker to the root side, and it almost become invisably thin towards the end of the hair. Any comments would be appreciated!

If your hairloss had slowed to a crawl.. or stopped completely, and now you are shedding after 3 months on the big 3...

that is a good shed, as far as I'm concerned. I would say it's 50/50 with those who shed and those who don't. Dont worry about it at all, and actually, get excited that after the shed, thicker and more terminal hair will replace the hair shedded.

No offense, but why do there have to be like 20 posts everyday asking questions as though the people on here are psychic or something.

Well, you have seen the kind of hair that you have shed for the past year in the shower. If the roots of your current shed seem thicker to you, then that would be a good thing.

Sheds happen irrespective of chemical timing. Sometimes it is just time for your hair to shed, and it would have whether or not you were on treatment. Although one would think that shedding should be a continuous process throughout the year, I have read articles saying that it is not uncommon for hair to shed in what seems to be a synchronized pattern.

But, if I were you, I would not read too much into a one time shed. Don't worry, just play the odds, you know the statistics of success that hair treatments have. Be patient. You are relatively new to the regimen and should not read too much into anything right now. Just keep with the program, keep taking your treatment, and pay attention to your health and nutrition and just give it at least a good half year before getting worried about anything.

Take care
