Gray Hair Side Affect From The Big 3

Hi all,

I've been on the Big 3 for about a month now and I've noticed graying hair which obviously shouldn't be happening since I'm 23. I'm trying to figure out which is the culprit (finasteride, min, or keto shampoo). I take 1 mg finasteride daily, apply rogaine twice a day and use Perrigo 2% ketoconazole shampoo 3x a week. I'm tempted to rule out the rogaine because it seems to be affecting areas I don't apply as much to. I saw a thread from a few years back on here about a guy who thought finasteride caused him to gray, but besides that I can't seem to find anyone else reference graying as a side for finasteride. That makes me lean towards it being the shampoo.

Please let me know if any of you have any experience with this. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

PS. The area in the pic isn't the only one affected by gray. There's specs of it all over my hair. Lighting just made it hard to capture it all.

Getting some grey at 23 isn't that unusual some start in their teens. I don't think it's anything in your regimen that causing it tbh, im 30 and have greys everywhere, like i said it's not unusual to start getting greys in your 20's. Just genetics.

Thanks for the feedback! I understand that the graying process starts earlier for some folks, I'm just worried that its a side effect of my regimen because i hadn't noticed any until i started. Perhaps I'm just being a hypochondriac tho

Mix some coconut milk, curry leave powder into a paste in a saucepan and lash it on! Also consume loads and loads of blueberries

Could be the stress of going bald. Also, much of the process for greying and balding is the same. Sometimes people will see hair pigment returning on hair loss treatments.
thanks. honestly its not the worse thing in the world for me. I'd rather have gray hair than thinning hair, but if I could delay it, that would be ideal. should i try "just for men" or something like that?

Yeah, you could use that, chemical dyes tend to be harsh on your hair though, henna is another option you could possibly try, not as harsh on your hair from what i have read..

That's just going to cover it up. You could try pseudocatalase to keep it from getting worse, and/or get some gray hair pills that have PABA, L-tyrosine, catalase, folic acid, pantothenic acid, and zinc.

Do those actually work from your experience, im already dabbling in q10 thinking it might slow down the rate of grey hair but i haven't been on it long enough to know if it's even doing anything

Yes, I actually got quite a bit of reversal while using pseudocatalase shampoo and supplements. Another thing that might be able to reverse it is SM04554. It should have a significant effect on early greying given what we know about Wnts and pigmentation. I'm looking forward to it.
Do you have a link to the specific product for the shampoo? Thanks!

Not that strange to have greys at your age.

I started going grey at 17, I’m 29 now and I’m about 30% grey I’d say.
Doesn’t bother me that much anymore, early greying does run in the family, as does hair loss unfortunately!
