I'm already taking L arginine and I would like to add one more natural product to the mix. I know Ginkgo and ginseng improve circulation to the scalp but what does green tea do? GT seems to be the most talked about herb here but why?

Green Tea seems to be the natural alternative of finasteride, cos it produces the same effects: less Dht in our hair.

But it has a very disgusting flava.

Ginseng and Ginko are useless for our baldness.

I am not aware of any studies that show green tea to have any effect on hair. However, green tea does have beneficial health effects. It is a powerful antioxidant, which means it fights free radicals that harm cells. It also is thought to speed metabolism a bit. As we age, our metabolism slows down, which is partly responsible for the typical weight gain that accompanies getting older. Green tea helps fight this by tending to speed metabolism so that it is closer to the level of a younger person.

Green tea has loads of caffeine, so if you are going to use it, you might consider taking decaf green tea extract supplements.

.

THere is absolutely no truth to this statement what-so-ever.

I am a green tea fan too luv the taste. It's a decent anti-oxidant at best.

On the contrary. According to the data out there I would emphatically say that Free Fatty Acids are the natural alternative to finasteride.

Green tea is suppose to inhibit 5AR type one. But there is no proof that inhibiting type 1 will help hairloss. Can't hurt to try though, GT is good for other things anyway as mvpsoft said.

Green tea can help produce equol in some people, equol attaches itself to DHT and renders it useless, which is why there is study on equol and prostate cancer

From what i have read this is absolutly not true, however if you could provide some proof then that would be great. The possible advantage of soy products or green tea in hairloss is that there is a substance found in soy and green tea that makes the body produce a substance called equol(only a percent of people can do this, in some people it does not occur). Equol may be good for hair loss because it binds it self with DHT, once that has occured the DHT cannot bind with the hair folicles which is the cause ofr male pattern baldness.
