Green Tea...how many cups?

Hi All,

I read that some of you are fans of Green Tea Extract as an additive in topicals ans that there is some science to back this up.

My question: how many cups of Green Tea would on need to get even a minimal effect on ones hair?

Personally I love the drink anyway but if I can chug a few more (and not die from caffeine OD) and help my hair I'd be rather happy!

Thanks lads.

as many as you can stomach.i dont really like it but it does make me feel better. id say 1-2 if you brew it quite strong.i tend to leave the bag in for ages so it infuses properly.

I generally don´t like tea. Is there a difference whether one takes green tea extract capsules or actually drinks cups of Green Tea?

I get most of mine from grean tea extract. Take it with soy protein.

I think 5 cups a day is good. but I only do that on some days. the extract is just easier. And GTE is just one of many anti-oxidants that are good for hair.

Green Tea can taste gross, however thats normally when its been prepared wrong. If it is brewed to long, or the water is to hot it can go bitter.

I would also recommend not using tea bags. Get some loose tea and an infuser. It just tastes better.

Put on a kettle with fresh water, and let it get to just before boiling. The water needs to be hot enough that you could dip your finger into it without it hurting(precise science this is not).

I also have to have a slice of lemon in mine. You can get the two together in a tea bag, however its not the same and there may be a health benefit in adding the real thing.

Pour boiling water over infuser, and lemon(ok, its a must). Then allow to brew for about 2mins.

I have a very large latte mug as well.

You could also try White Tea, this is a much more delicate flavour. It is also reputed that it has a higher anti-oxident count. It is however a bit more expensive. With this I would add some jasmin to (gay, i Know, but meh).
