grey hairs?

anybody else get grey hairs after starting proscar? i just turned 24 and i am the youngest of 3 brothers and am the only one using proscar and the only one with grey hairs! anybody else get grey hairs?

Yes, I´m in month 5 and I´ve detected some grey hairs in my head (male pattern baldness area).

In my entire life I´ve never ever seen something like that on me.


I´m starting to worry about going grey. But it´s better to worry about going bald.

It's a pretty tenuous link between finasteride and white ("greying") hair. I have never come across any supporting literature to suggest it.

It's just part of the aging process as well as hereditary factors. Ask your parents or distant relatives when they first started noticing white hairs.

I got the hair exactly as my mom and grandpa. He was full norwood by the age 25, so I doubt he has developed any grey hair (except in the sides and back and even there, he got gray when he was 60 or something).

My dad (who has curly dense hair) started graying around 45, but I doubt it got something to say, becouse we are totally different. Specially at hair business.

Sometimes when hairs are affected by a shed and then grow back they go through a cycle or two before regaining their old color and texture. If the grey hairs are not spread out over your whole head, I wouldn't be too worried. And either way, grey hair is better than no hair!

Agreed that I'll take gray over no hair. I've been on proscar since March 1st. A few months ago a noticed a single gray hair on my head. Actually, I think it was a colorless hair (no pigment or whatever). I yanked it and haven't seen any since.

A hair that loses his pigments???

A hair that is coated with some white substance??

Why do gray hairs appear??
