Growing out hair long with thinning hair sucks

Since during the awkward phase it will always be obvious that your sides and back hairs are way thicker than your hairline's. For me, since i'm balding in a NW6 pattern, the high parts of my sides are still thick, so when they blend with my hairline i look really weird. Some guy told me i look like wolverine with my hair and yeah i kinda look like wolverine with my big, part-thick, part-thinning hair


Unfortunately, i need long hair to hide my big *** forehead, so i will have to power through the weird wolverine hair until it's long enough to flow

Yeah I had shoulder length hair and I am diffusing in NW7 pattern with retrograde alopecia in sides of my head. It looked so ridiculous people asked me what have I done with my hair

Amazing how much of the hair loss the curly hair hided. I didn't notice any loss until he bent his head forward

Yeah, I wanted to grow my hair longer (not even long, just medium length) but am paranoid about looking like a "fellow kids" meme because I'm early 30's & thinning has started at the crown. Hairline is still fine.

Can't believe I wasted so many years getting a $12 back and sides with it pretty short on top too. A longer haircut, even in the same style, looks so much better but I never really realised until lockdown when I couldn't go to the barbers.

Yeah surprisingly I can conceal my hairloss easily but it’s going.

One of the worst parts with growing your hair out while thinning I feel is the "so close, yet so far" feeling you can get, like the hair at the sides and back are thick and good-looking, but then it just contrasts with some diffuse rat's nest on top. goddamnit

I buzzed my hair my ENTIRE LIFE. When I first noticed very subtle signs of thinning I decided to finally get a real haircut. The diference was astonishing. It looked 100000x better. Couldn't believe I wasted so many years with a shitty cut. I looked like a turtle my whole teen years.
