Guys, Help Me Out Here. Is This A Normal Cowlick Or Am I Thinning?

My hair is parted at the crown, but there is a segment of my hair where I can see my scalp (the vertical part if that makes sense). Does it look like it's receding at that particular spot? Thanks!

my hair looks a lot like this, it's been pretty much unchanged in the two years i've been obsessively monitoring/measuring it. So far no change. I think people with straight, black hair, who are pale and maybe have a little less density naturally are always going to see scalp around the crown. I would love to hear some other opinons though.
