Hair colour has gone darker on minoxidil...Is this a good thing?

Hi guys, I've only been on Kirklands 5% for just under two weeks and when I started the regime I had a buzz cut. Anyways, obviously the hair I had has regrown a bit now and my girlfriend has commented on it saying that it looks darker in colour....almost black? Normally I'm a medium brown colour. I can only think its an effect of the minoxidil, so is this a good thing? I have also noticed my temple regions have totally filled in with tiny blonde vellous hairs and it also appears that the left temple has had slight growth in these also.....what are the chances of pigmented terminal hair growing in here?

I'm getting my fincar delivered tomorrow so as from then I will officially be on the big 3 :punk: Have posted a similar question in my "tell your story" thread but was getting no responses so thought I would try my luck in here. Thankyou in advance for any replies :)

:) Short and sweet, any comments on the vellous hairs that have grown in? Will these develop at all?

Only if you're one of the lucky ones ;). Some people reported that they first had vellus hair which growed longer and thicker, and many others said that they kept those vellus hair for months and months... But i guess it's still better than nothing ;)

Well, shorter hair tends to look thicker and darker, to me it's because its more uniform when it's short. Let it grow out to where you had it first and then make a judgment?

i've been on the 5% foam for 5 months and defiantly has made my hair more dark.. also made the hairs much more thicker.. personally, i think the hair becoming more thick is more likely with the foam as it coats the hair and scalp better than the liquid. i noticed once i apply the foam it makes my hair feel and look thicker. that's my opinion though.

as for the tiny hairs, well, mines started as small peach fuzz and now some of the hairs are almost 3/4 inch long and are starting to get darker (these are new hairs on my hairline) they are still very thin but getting a more hair-like-texture. i use the foam on the whole top of my head. it takes time though.. i'm only starting to see these hairs thicken and become longer after about the 4th month of using it.
