I had the same “side effects” of “reflex hyperandrogenicty” and stop started finasteride multiple times. I was constantly reading the thousands of stupid threads out there and had terrible anxiety/obsession. Eventually I said screw it, I’d bald without propecia no matter what and took it everyday for about 14 months straight. Hair looks pretty much the same.

Just man up and take the pill

Even non balding people will get a hair when they run there hands thru their hair. That's not alot at all.

So I've attached 2 photos, 1 from October last year and one taken just now.

It's obvious people on here don't want to believe some of the side effects these drugs can have. But it did thin my hair in the space of 2 weeks. My hair dresser noticed the difference after taking finasteride. I wear a hardhat at work and about a month after taking the drug I could feel the webbing resting against the top of my scalp, which has never happened before. My hair became dry, thin, wispy, my scalp burns, my skin became oily and body hair increased. Too much of a coincidence to happen so quickly for it to be happening naturally.

I don't see why people think I would make this up- I'm not recommending alternatives, I'm not posting countless threads telling people not to take these drugs. I'm merely asking a question so I can try and determine the speed of my hair loss compared to others.

Dude your pictures are shyyt. Post pictures with actual light and from all angles with hair pulled back. Nobody can discern from these dark pictures. It's not that hard if you want honest answers.

It doesn't seem like people are questioning side effects. I don't like giving my opinion based on pictures because they don't always reflect reality. I don't understand why you wouldn't go back to your prescribing doctor after you noticed issues after 2 weeks.

Hair is not "alive" unlike the hair follicle. Taking medication internally can have an effect on your new hair growth. It is possible to change our hair structure using topicals. A lot of us here do this either by using thickening products or by lifting the hair cuticle but have to continue doing this because of new hair growth and the temporary effect of some of the products. So for me, there is a big difference of you mentioning the condition of your matured hair vs new hair growth.

Again, I just don't understand why you wouldn't see a doctor about your other issues.

I have been to a doctor and it was a waste of time. Told me to carry on using T Gel for the burning sensation after confirming that I dont actually have psoriasis. I'm sorry those pictures arent up to your standards, @Northface32 but its all I have for the moment.

There is no doubt in my mind that these symptoms were brought on by finasteride and are not in my head. I accept that I'm a rare case but none of these were present before I took the drug.
