My hair looks thicker when i straighten it (using ceramic straightner). My hair dresser told me i should chemically straighten it, so my hair could alwalys look thicker and i could style it when i want with out always using the ceramic (heat) straightner. My question could this chemical stuff affect my hair?
Cheers

hair would look thicker when it's curly... let's use logic...

when it curls my hair tends to stick together (looks thin). Thats not the case when its straight, what im asking will chemical straighteners have a negative affect on my hair.

A real man uses a fork to straighten his hair.

Tbh hair dressers usually know jack sh*t about hairloss, they'll tell you its your diet and recommend some expensive shampoo and those expensive nourkin tablets, and in 3 weeks time you'll have more hair on your head than on an ewoks ***.

There is a wealth of information on this site, even the worst information you get here is probably ten times more useful than what your hair dresser will tell you.

it'll be the biggest mistake you make.

i did so, just 3 months ago. I've chemically straightened my hair when it was long quite a few times. i stopped in between when my male pattern baldness became obvious to me, but i thought i'd try anyway and a few months ago when i did.. each and every individual strand became even thinner. Chemical relaxing RaPes your hair..thinning it further , and its not the same as dying it. If you want to thicken your hair i'd recommend just for men.

but under no circumstances should you chemically straighten them if they've grown back thinner already due to male pattern baldness. you'll seriously regret it.

hair dressers don't know sh*t about hairloss..when they mention hairloss products it's becaue they're paid to advertise it..straughteing your hair will do a shitload of damage to it..
