hello, im currently 22 and at university. My hair thinning is not horrible. Most of it is a mildly aggressive receding hairline, although i recently noticed a bit on my crown too. I first started to get this thinning at 18 after i buzzed my head for the first time. My hair which was fine and straight came in frizzier and thinning in the temples just a bit. I use minoxidil and this worked a bit, then stopped and now recently started again. nothing else. saw palmetto and oils too i guess. Im just wondering if anyone would have insight? also thoughts on RU as an anti-androgen

I would not advise using RU as it hasn't been approved in ANY country in the whole world for hairloss. There are people who have success with it, however it's a research drug that was abandoned for a reason(some people even have a small chance of death from it, heart related).

Finasteride is much safer and there are people who have side effects from it but those side effects would never be fatal, as it's proven to be safe through rigorous studies and trials. If you're afraid of side effects, try a lower dose like 0.2mg-0.25mg (or lower if you know how), and see how your body reacts.

It's up to you in the end but using RU is definitely a gamble as it's hard to even get a clean supply of the stuff.
