I'm not sure where I'm supposed to post this, so mind me..

Firstly; I'm a 14 year old male with long hair, I have always had a bit of a high forehead and have never really minded it, it wasn't until this summer I had noticed my partline where I part my bangs has got larger, where I can see more scalp, it hasn't changed in a month and is getting worrying, the surrounding hair nearby the partline seems to be getting very thin..

I wasn't surprised at first, as my haircare has been lacking, my scalp is very dry.. I also thought it could be something due to diet, as my vitamin consumption is imbalanced

All in all, I have no clue, and wish to get help!

wow, for a 14 yo that looks quite impressive imho... you still have a lot of hair, so not much t worry 'cos you are probably catching it on time, but you most certainly started receeding already...

So should I be worried? Or is it natural?
I'm thinking it has to do with Vitamin deficiency or something, I also have dandriff as well..

Not entirely, I don't have a big family, I only have met uncles and such in my Dad's side
My grandfather has barely started balding (he's at about 76)
My Dad is around 50 and has been balding for a bit now
My Uncle on the contrary had balded at an earlier age

Hope that helps, I just need to know a possible cause or maybe a solution, or if I should get it checked out

It could very well be the beginning of male pattern baldness. It can kick in very young for some people, especially if you have a history of it in your family. Sometimes it can even happen if you have no history of it in your family, which is the case with my next door neighbor who is almost completely bald at 28 despite having a family of fullhead 60 year old silver foxes on both sides of his family.

You could make an appointment with the dermatologist to have it looked at. 14 is too young to start taking Propecia, I am not sure about Rogaine but that could possibly be a solution in the mean time, but talk to your dermatologist first and get blood tests to rule out other causes than male pattern baldness.

I don't know, the guy's hair shaft diameter looks large. I don't see particular problems.
A dermatologist might give you peace of mind.

Would there be a possible cause for the thinning part? Or the hairline?
I don't notice a lot of hairfall in shower and stuff, though as of late i'm noticing a bit more when I run my hands through my hair, though only single hairs

A good way to tell is to use water on your hair. Compare the scalp density to the hairline, and further on.

The line does seem a little farther than normal.

I dont think it looks bad at all. There's lots of 14 yo that's have/had hairlines like that and never lost their hair. I would suggest one thing though. A.shorter haircut is Healthier for the hair. I bet if you get a short haircut your fears would go away. I remember when I was your age I worried as well. I have always had fine/fuzzy limp hair. I used to think I was balding at 14 until I started to get good haircuts and comb it back and high. It looked great. A bit harder to do that now..lol... but still I was'nt balding at 14 I just needed to get a proper cut and style. Try that first before you go to the doctors. I'm sure your hair will be fine for the next 5-10 years at least....

Alright, though I still have a very thin partline I can see a lot of scalp through..
Do you have any suggestions about that?
(Here's another image for clarification)

EDIT: I do have some bad dandrif, and I believe I might have some fungal infection of sorts (Probably over-reacting on that one) I was at first questioning if it was a lack of vitamins or haircare that was too cause it

@Alpha Tortoise

Long hair has nothing to do with baldness. As former long hair male myself, DON'T let adults
trick you into cutting it. My parents tried many tricks to make me cut my long hair.

Unless your pulling your hair in a tight hairstyle (corn row braids, tying the front back in a tight man bun), long hair will DO NOTHING to speed up or slow the process.

This is also true for women as well. NOTHING to do with androgen alopecia.

Although it is possible to start losing hair after puberty, it's VERY rare. There's only a handful of guys on this forum that
this has happened to.

It usually takes years of hair loss before you get "bald spots". Even then, it is reversible up to a point.

Some guys do get it young. But I've never heard of a Norwood three in their teenage years. Never.

I only knew one kid in high school that had a Norwood two at the most. And he visibly lost hair since thirteen years old.

My cousin graduated high school at 18 with a Norwood 4 with a tiny Jude Law type island in front. I saw a freshman NW3 Bruce Willis style today at my first day back in college. My best friend is 20 and NW4 with almost no frontal hair left at all. Saw my other friend come back from Venezuela with a buzzcut, clearly a NW3V now, he is 21. One of the guys in my class who is 21 is a Norwood SEVEN already. It can happen very young. In fact everywhere I look I see guys younger and younger who are on their way to be harvested by the Norwood reaper.

It doesn't cause baldness but if he's had long hair for awhile he probably has lots of split ends, etc. A new short haircut is healthy for the hair or at the very least it will give him a better idea if the part line is just an illusion from the longer hair. At any rate I bet it looks better and will give him some peace of mind. He is only 14 and his hair looks healthy to me. He does'nt need to be worrying about this at his age.

Hey Tortoise, i too started balding at 14 (im 20 now and about a NW2.5) my recession was very gradual, it took me from NW1 to NW2 in like 5 years, but i started finasteride and im half a Norwood further in 8 months of treatment... not saying that will happen to you if you decide to get on finasteride when you are 18 but it can and does happen. Minoxidil probably isn't a good idea at your age because it can and has destroyed many peoples hair alot faster than what finasteride has done to mine. I am on Oral minoxidil though and i think im maybe shedding slightly less but its only been 7 days. The best thing you can do to slow your hairloss down right now is to take supplements like biotin and maybe saw palmetto ( natural dht blocker ) Balding at any age sucks but we've been hit the worst. Very young hair loss suffers like us have to accept that one day we will be bald, but i personally am willing to do absolutely anything to prolong the inevitable for as long as possible. Take it easy right now as you never know, you may respond well to finasteride and not have to try all the crazy meds im trying lol. Good luck Tortoise :)

I said teenagers. I myself was a Norwood 2.5 or 3 in my early twenties as well.

In fact, when I was 23, my friend cut my hair (at a salon). He even made a joke about my forehead, hairline.

And believe it or not, I was the poster boy for Minoxidil at the time. It regrew all of my recession back to normal.

That said, I learned the hard way Minoxidil results are not permanent. I'm paying for it now (in the tune of a lot of $$ a month for topical doctor prescribed dosages).

It DID regrow most of my vertex hair back. I WAS a Norwood 4 (I'm in my late forties). Now I'm a Norwood 3. In addition, some of my hairline (a centimeter temples) grew back.

As far as LONG hair, that will NOT cause baldness. In fact, hair can support up to four pounds, I believe. The scalp is very strong.
