HAIR LOSS DREAMS

Anyone ever have this dream?
You're feeling great; you think your hair looks great; wonderful mood etc. Then some jack *** looks at you and says, well, you're going bald! My gawd, you're gonna be bald as a cue ball??? :freaked2:
When you wake up you feel like sh*t AND you realize that not only do you dream about your hair loss but some idiot some where IS gonna make a comment about your head. And you're probably gonna have to punch 'em. :-x

Glad to know that I am not alone on this one. I have dreams about my hair all the time. Vivid dreams about my hair falling out in clumps. Dreams about being ridiculed by people because of my thinning. Dreams about my husband leaving me for some woman who has hair.

*Sigh* The things that your mind can do to you while you sleep... :cry:

I had the dream last night and it is a very stressful time and am feeling out of control. Weird thing is, though, that just earlier this week I was feeling okay about the hair thing b/c I'm getting some positive results w/minoxidil/nizoral/oral spironolactone. BUT I did start having anxiety over whether to add yasmin bcp and maybe that triggered the fear/out of control/powerless feelings that manifested in the dream.

I too have have some terrible nightmares about my hair. I also am constantly daydreaming about being bald and my husband leaving me for someone with luscious locks. Lentara - I'm glad to hear your having some positive results with your regimen. I'm trying to conceive, so I cannot take meds now, but my dr. told me after baby to go on oral spironolactone and yasmin. Are you have side effects from the spironolactone, who recommended yasmin to you and for what?

I too have been plagued with weird dreams about my hair.

Recently, the weirdest one was spilling or dripping minoxidil on my cheek and having a large patch of scalp hair grow on it! I stared in the mirror for the longest time in disbelief. It was disgusting!!! It was the same length as my regular scalp hair, except very shiny, thick and healthy. I would tug and trim it. EEEW!

so far no side effects w/spironolactone. The derm recommended yasmin as an extra anti-androgen but I'm leaning towards not taking it b/c the anti-androgen effect would be the ONLY thing I'd need to take it for.

I was mostly having hairloss dreams before my wedding. My hair was shedding like crazy and I couldn't keep the veil or headpiece on my head.... ohhh yucky... and then I'd dream that I would run down the aisle and marry Richard as quick as I could before he noticed my hairloss.....
