Hair loss related to skull sutures?

Hello,

One thing I noticed recently about my pattern of hair loss is that my hair loss perfectly fits the suture pattern of the skull. The hair loss is occurring where the sagittal and coronal sutures are. Take a look at these pics:

I looked and found nothing about this on the internet. Can there possibly be a relation between the formation of the skull and hair loss? I am 20 years old.

Same here, my hair loss pattern also fits perfectly with the suture pattern of my skull.

However, there's no scientific evidence suggesting that the formation of the skull and hair loss have a correlation with each other, at least to my knowledge. It would be interesting if the two are related, but I think it's very unlikely.

That is interesting. Could it be linked to the fact that in correspondence of sutures your skin has a different thickness and elasticity? Or it suffers some form of pressure?
This does not happen to me. However, both my father and I have no leg hair where the trousers meet the calf. After years of involuntary rubbing, the hair just went. So I wonder how many unknown ways there are for follicles to be damaged and stop working.

There's been a lot of interesting discussion in relation to BMP signaling and the variation among the different parts of the skull in relation to hair. Eldarlmario has some pretty detailed posts and theories on this scattered around dozens of forums. So there's that for a start.

You've still got a very intact hairline. And I'm very curious whether or not the skull shape affects blood flow and leads to this type of pattern. So many people discredit the role of blood flow on balding but I'd very much like to know what y'all think.

Dude, interesting observation!! Have you noticed people also tend to lose hair around the ears sometimes, correlating to the squamous sutures beneath, especially when experiencing Telogen Effluvium? It happened to me. There could be some kind of correlation between development of these sutures and blood supply, who knows? I mean, while my skull was developing as a baby, I sure did get dropped on it a lot.
