So do you STILL think that counting daily lost hairs is a good indication of balding? :)

Yes. Here's a test run on a group of 60 men, the results suggest that you can determine if the amount of hair you're losing in a day is normal or not.

Yes, but that's not the same thing as what _I_ said. Notice that I asked (rhetorically) if counting daily lost hairs is a good indication of BALDING. I don't see anything at that link you provided to indicate that it is.

I don't doubt that if you do a test such as they describe on a large number of individuals, you will get a typical bell-shaped curve of results. But does that prove that if you're one of the outliers with a greater number of shed hairs than the average, you're necessarily someone who is going bald? I don't think so. At least, they don't provide any evidence to support that claim.

Hahahah! Here's a good example of how you to be verrrry careful about what you read (and believe) on Web sites. Here's that link again that the previous poster cited for us:

Look at the list of "Recently Written" articles on the right. Click on the "Male Pattern Baldness Treatment" link in that list, and you get the following funny statement in that article (added emphasis is my own):

"Proscar and Propecia are other alopecia treatment drugs which have been discovered. They are sold under a common name Finasteride. It has been developed by Merck for the treatment of enlarged prostate glands. While the company was running tests on men with enlarged prostates, it discovered the same side-effect as those who were checking the work of Minoxidil."

LOL!! Don't ALWAYS believe everything you read! :shakehead: :thumbdown2:
