Hair styling/volumizing products

Hey guys

Just wanted to ask what kind of products people use? I've noticed a few threads but nothing recent.

The problem I have at the moment is that most products clump hairs together and leave my scalp exposed.

Any recommendations would be helpful.

Dry Shampoo. _ I keep saying it, but it is the $h1t!!!! It's not shampoo - its the best thickening, styling product out there.. I use it all the time.. I tend to use one with a tint, but recently after using dermmatch, I just use any... It will coat your hair and look totally white - like you dumped flour on it or antique-ing like on jackass! However leave it a min to settle then brush it in and get rid of the residue. Women have been using this stuff for years and men are only just starting to get clued up on it. Dry shampoo gets rid of all the oils and grease that makes your hair look even thinner and fluffs it all up. They're in every high street shop, superdrug etc they cost about £2 a pop. Think my post got deleted. When do you apply this? After a shower with normal shampoo, before you style your hair?

After your shower with shampoo... it is your new styling product. Apply it dry.

Only thing I'll say about that dry shampoo with colouring is, I used it once, and then looked at the white 2 piece suite the next day, and I hadn't noticed that it had coated every inch of the bath, sink and toilet in a fine mist, and it's a nightmare to clean after. No idea how it got like that, but it must go through hair and settle in the whole bathroom. Got any tips to avoid that Ray, and it's a bit smelly. Bought the Superdrug own and the Matisse

What is that, every time you wash your hair you use that? I've yet to see anything 'REALLY' work and thicken hair If I'm honest. Tell us more

It gives a temporary thickening effect by coating the individual hairs. I've used it numerous times and was actually quite pleased. Of course it won't make three strands of hair look like a full-blown NW1.

No no no. You just need a dime sized amount, like with hair gel. One bottle should last multiple weeks. It gives thickness, in my experience, but it might not be as dramatic as toppik or dermmatch.

I wouldn't expect it to be used concealer free, nothing is, but interested to find anything that helps a bit... You use like conditioner, or leave in after wash, just ordered so will give it a go. Thanks for the intro

blowdry your hair if you have a medium - long hairstyle. I can't belive why not more men are doing this, it gives hair (esp thinning hair) so much more volume.

When I start doing my hair, it's usually toweldry (so not completely dry, a bit wet still). Sometimes I use a prestyling spray (Sidekick from By Villain) but it's not necessary. Then I blowdry it into the direction I want while also using a brush to create more volume. You'll have to find your way in this if you're new to blowdrying but I can tell you that it gives awesome results and it provides you with a much longer hold. After blowdrying, your hair should more or less be how you're going to ant to wear it and it should be completely dry (at least, it has to be for the products I'm using). I then use Silver Fox from By Villain to style it. Lastly I use a bit of ID Hair Extreme Titanium to provide my hair with an extra strong hold.

Maybe this exact regime isn't the best for your type of hair but I think every hair type, esp hair that is thinning, will benefit from blowdrying it before styling it

Too bad the entirety of tha interwebzz advises against using a brush when you have curly hair (like mine)
