I'm starting to look into diets as well.

Eating regularly, every few hours, is more important than what you eat, although they're both very important.

The series of events seem to be related assuming that there was no sign of thinning prior. Vitamin supplements don't help in any way. Are you taking multi-vitamins? Do you do paper works for hours in a day?

Excuse me, but you make no sense.
Can you please stop with questions as "do you do paper works for hours"?? How, in your mind, can this have any connection to hair loss??
Also, your affirmation "vitamin supplements don't help in any way" is false. Vitamin supplements, of course, don't make a very big difference, but they can help, especially if you have bad eating habits.

In your opinion, all that is scientificallty proven aboout hairloss is false, but you support stupid facts as "doing paper work causes hairloss".
The stupidity, absurdity, and lack of logical thinking of almost all you say is sky-high!
Please stop, or moderators please take some action with this user, because he is leading people in the wrong directions.

Wow. I must have missed the benefits of taking vitamins and supplements.
I have a really crappy lifestyle. What do you recommend I take?

I think you should read this thread. Hurry. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=67221 There's someone there claiming natural supplements make your hair grow.

You should read the entire thread so you don't miss anything including a comment by the moderator.

You must be in 1st year high school, right?

So i cut my hair a week or so ago and with shorter hair its a little more noticeable that my hair is thinner.

I made an appointment witha dermatologist but they were all so backed up its not until October.

What are some things i could take and what are the side effects of them. If this isn't natural and just stress related will it do more harm then good if i were to take hair loss prevention medicine before even knowing the situation?

Despite what some here would like to believe, stress, which depletes the body of its B vitamins, can negatively affect one's hair and scalp. Stress will accelerate hair loss in those genetically predisposed. This, I know from personal experience. Lack of proper diet can affect one's hair negatively as well, especially in those genetically predisposed.

Drifter, you need to relax, and perhaps seek a forum to address some of your other issues.

I'm just wondering if starting to apply hair loss treatments/ shampoos medicines etc, before knowing what it is would do any harm, like rogaine w/out knowing if you're really losing hair for real.

like lets say it is just stress and i put rogaine on, then it comes back to normal. i would have to keep on putting rogaine or else it falls out later right? i just wouldn't want to get sucked into having to put something on unless it were totally necessary

no one has answered my question. i still am wondering if starting rogaine before knowing the extent of the thinning/reasoning behind it would do more harm than good. my dermatologist appointment is october, there doesn't seem to be any more thinning than what has already occurred, whats your opinion?

Dude, you have the perfect hair. If you're freaking out because of that, just wait and observe a bit more.

just had my appointment with the dermatologist that i made back in July.

Dr. specialized in hair loss and hair restoration treatment. He said he saw no real signs of hair loss. Did the pull test, and did a thorough look for any signs of shedding or patches. He found nothing.

He then stated that hair texture/feel can sometimes change as well with stress, and sometimes can just change over the course of your life. He said it should be back to normal in about 10 months.

as for an update with the hair it really hasn't changed what so ever since july. no major loss on the pillows or shower so.. i guess im just gonna keep a close eye on it and enjoy the good news.
