How many of you goto barbershops to get an haircut ? im too emberassed to goto a one and get my thin sh*t get cut . They wash hair before cutting it too and i cant believe what the hairdresser would think of cutting the thin sh*t. I've been cutting it myself or have it done by my brother for ages now :? i guess its time to shape it up a little bit(Sick of same dumb cut everytime), can anyone give me a advice on which style would look on a diffuse thinner at mainly top and a thin hairline. I just want to shape the sides and back for now and like make it straight at front a little, thanks for advice. Cant take this thinning sh*t hairs going over my ears makes me want to pull all out :hairy:

Cheers :freaked:

Well, I just buzz my head every 4 months or so but thats cause I'm poor and spend enough money on my hair as it is. But I think your best bet would be to go to a good unisex hair dresser. Just tell them you want to hide your thinning and ask advice. They do that sort of thing everyday, and if there's one person besides your doctor you should be able to comfortably talk about your hair loss with its a hair dresser.

Read through the posts on here- so many of these guys have "hair stylists" which they refer to as "my"!!! I've never had such a thing (I could never totally divest myself of my backwoods/farmer/hick roots), but that's your best bet on coming up with the best looking hairstyle for yourself. I mean it's only going to be 45 minutes at worse and you're going to look a lot better for months because of it. I know it sucks to talk about your hair loss but trust me they're used to it. I'm sure that's the main issue people ask their help with, between all the women out there with thinning hair and business men eager to look sharp and confident who pay good money for their hair, I bet they get the same request half a dozen times a day.

Good luck and a Good Hair Day to you my friend.

Why don't you have the guts? I mean, because you would usually never go to hairdresser? Why not?

Dude forget about your pride for a minute. Getting a good haircut is pretty essential - if you only got a little you might as well get the best out of it. These people (hairdressers) know their sh*t and they could not care less what your hair look like. They see a new person walking in the door every 45 min. and they I'm sure they'll forget you less than an hour after you walk away again.

Just say f*** it - this is about you and not about them!

Hell yeah! Were obviously all vain enough to obsess over this sh*t to the extent that we post on and read forums about hair loss. Might as well look the best we can. Don't think girly... think youthful and healthy :)

Wezz, you've got to go to a decent stylist. They really do get people with thinning/receding hairlines coming to them all the time - and they really couldn't give a monkeys !

I'm one of those people and it's made a massive difference to how my hair looks. Admittedly, my hairloss is pretty much temples only, but I've got a contemporary messed-up cut and it looks so good that only the really eagle-eyed even notice I've got recession at all. Incidentally, keep it short !
