Hairline 5/6 Years Later... Any Differences? Hairline Receding?

Hey everyone

Noticed some hairline threads, so I decided to cut my hair short to see if my hairline has changed. I got a level 2 on the sides and a level 3/4 on the top, as I read it was good to cut hair short as possible to look at hairline, and plus, my old photos that I'm comparing it too, my hair was kept relatively short then, so may be easier to compare.

I'm 24 years old. Haven't had my hair this short in quite a few years.

This post has pictures taken today fresh from my hair cut, and then washing my hair. The post underneath it has pictures from around 5/6 years ago.

Also, from the pictures taken from today, is it normal that I've grown some more hair in the middle? I've pointed this out in one of the photos with a blue line/arrow. Is it normal to have that quiff of hair? I don't think I've ever had it before? Please compare with the photos in the 2nd post.

Maybe a slight difference in the temples. I wouldn't worry about it. You're one of the lucky ones who has no reason to be on this forum.

Haha too right. Piled on the pounds during uni and now working etc. Not an excuse but I need to get my fitness into shape too.

Does anyone else see any differences? And what about the hair growth in the middle or has that always been there?

Your hairline may not be as perfectly straight as in the older photos, but not to the point where anyone would put you above a NW1. Regardless, I think it's a good idea to take these kinds of pictures; I recommend you keep taking pics of your hair over the next few years. If you do start losing your hair, you'll be able to notice the difference without needing our feedback and take action immediately.

BTW, great smile in the older pics; I hope there's not a reason that you're not smiling in the current pics.

you're definitely receding, but you aren't diffuse at all so it doesn't look bad at all right now. thats why it kinda looks like you have more hair in the middle, cause the temples moved back a bit.

Overall your hair still looks good and your recession looks like it would happen super slowly, especially if your crown is still in tact.
