hairline and side effects questions about finasteride

I have two questions about Propecia:

1. I'm 24 and just have a receding hairline (for now). It doesn't look so bad from the side and at certain angles, but I just looked at my head from the top down using a couple mirrors, and was kinda shocked at how much of a distinct U-shaped hairline I have. No wonder it's been so hard to style my hair the way I used to. :( Anyway, if I went on Propecia, how much actual regrowth am I likely to see? In other words, am I likely to get any of my hairline back at all, or does it mainly just stop hair loss?

2. The one thing keeping me from doing finasteride is the side effects. They say only 2% of finasteride users experience them, but does that mean only 2% experience any side effects, or that's 2% of each possible side effect? Most people seem to be worried about the sexual side effects, but I've heard about it causing everything from limp dick to b**ch-tits to acne to issues with your prostate. The sexual side effects kinda worry me, but I'm also concerned about acne. I delt with face and back acne for years and years, and only about a year ago did I finally get rid of my back acne (my face has been clear for a while). I really don't want to have to sacrifice clear skin for better hair. :(

There is no real evidence that finasteride will grow back your hairline but I did respond quite well all over. I stopped taking finasteride back in November last year because my girlfriend and I were trying to start a family, now that's over with and family is well under way I have gone back onto finasteride. But my hair really did go downhill in over the last 6 months. I hope to regain this back again.

It should help with your mid scalp and crown but the hairline is always the big question.

I also suffered from sides which worried me a little bit. But it comes and goes. Since starting again a few weeks ago I have seen no sides at all. If you experience sides just miss a few days and then start again. Then miss a few days and start again until the sides disapear. If they continue then I would stop and have a proper rest from it.
