I have been unemployed for over 4 months. I have gone on over 10 job interviews and dress well, prepare good questions etc but still no job. I also have nothing in my past employment (i.e. being fired etc) and no criminal record that might cause an employer to think twice. I can't help but feel like I am being discriminated against because I am balding pretty badly. I don't know if it is coincidence or what but every interview that I go to, it seems like all the other candidates except for me have their full heads of hair and are tall on top of it (I'm 5'8") so I feel a bit intimidated at times. It doesn't affect me in job interviews though as I have no problem sitting up straight and maintaining good eye contact and not fidgeting. My question is, we all know how much of an effect baldness can have on your dating life, but what about getting a good job because though employers won't come right out and say it, I'm sure they have an image in their mind of wanting a candidate to "look the part" in order to represent their company well. I can seel bald men having problems succeeding in jobs such as outside sales.
