Goddamn I have hated showering ever since I noticed my hairloss. It's like torchery every time! I know I have to wash my scalp regularly to keep it clean but damn I still hate it like nothing else.

How much hair do you see in the shower. Prior to hairloss when I had *very* healthy hair, I hardly got a single hair in the shower even if I washed my hair once or twice a week. Now i wash my hair daily and get 90-100 hairs just in the shower and another 30-40 while brushing. Of course I notice hair on my shoulders , keyboard, books, etc all through the day and a good 20-30 on the pillow at night.

Unlike many others on this forum, I am old school about shedding. I think shedding is a good sign of what is to come. And personally whenever I have had a major shed (foam and Propecia recently) I never experienced any regrowth as people love to point out. So imho Excessive shedding = eventual permanent hairloss. Stop the shedding to stop the loss. However this is easier said than done when your best options are garbage treatments like finasteride and minoxidil. This sh*t has done nothing for me to date.

Simple. Don't shower.

Be bald and smelly, your life will be sorted.

I wash my hair every 3 days which is much more easy on the hair. Obviously I shower everyday, I just dont get my hair wet everyday because more hair just seems to fall out when you get it wet. I never see hair caught in the drain pipe because my hair is much to short right now for it to possibly get clogged in the first place. But yes I agree, showers are rather daunting when it comes to washing your hair.

In last two weeks i've been showering everyday to get rid of flaking skin that is attached to my scalp. Besides it was a recomendation of my derm.

Hi ghg & vipergts thanx for answering my deleted post about the Emu Oil, u guys rock! :punk:
Ok ghg, do you have your hair medium lenght or short or buzzed? because i sure as hell don't notice any hairs with my buzzed cut only when my hair was medium length could i notice the hairs on the sink or the tub, quite depressing. Also are u on biotin? they do say it helps the hair in the healthy department e.g. healthy nails and hair.. just curious?

Something you and I seem to have in common then.

Yeah except that I try to start a normal conversation on a subject, and you're only trying to ruin it. That's the difference.

tell me about it.........im seriously terrified of washing my hair now

any amount of pressure and it gets pulled out......running my fingers through with shampoo, towel drying, combing

i wash it every few days....i dont think you need to shampoo your hair everyday anyways
