Hey guys, can i have some help from the experts?
I'm 21 year old with a NW1 with no temple recession.It started out when i turned 19. I noticed my hairs were getting oily often and clumps together, after a day of washing.
It's been 2 years, and I've noticed the hair were thinner on the top of my scalp and about 6 months ago i had massive shed for a week, plus some itching on the top of my scalp.Also, I've had hairs of various thickness falling out (some are thick and others are really really thin)
I decided to go see my family doctor/dermatologist they sent me to get a bloodtest done, everything came back clean, but i somehow got the Doctor to let me try 3-4 months of finisteride + nizoral shampoo.
It's been 4 months. The oiliness went away, but I am still getting some itches here and there. I had some mild hair shedding.Also, i took a look at the bulb of the hairs that fallout, a few of em looks chewed at the end and abit thinner than the opposite side of the bulb.
All in all, do you guys think I should continue with using finasteride? Would be really grateful if someone replies.
PS: I little bit of family background (This is the really shitty party, too...)
Dads side: Not a single persons got male pattern baldness. My grandfather whose at the age of 72 and still has a full head of black hair...But they all the guys have what ppl call "Mature hairline"
Moms side: My grandpa passed away when i was like 2, so im not sure about him, but none of my blood relatives got male pattern baldness. My uncles are in their 35's/40's and none of them got MBP, just the "mature line."
