Hi
Joined the forum back in 2004 when my hair was really thinning. Used the (excellent) advice and went on propecia, regaine/rogaine extra, nizoral and at times folligen.
Within 12 months my hair was much thicker, within 2yrs it was wonderfully dense.
However in the past 6 months it's begun to rapidly thin again - especially at the front. Thinning is diffuse so will be left with a horseshoe n shape with sides but nothing on the scalp when it's gone.
Tried using rogaine foam at night and liquid in morning, using folligen again and using revivogen but it's still thinning with hairs coming out in the shower and on the pillow and scalp is finally starting to show through.
One thing I've noticed is that white 'sebum' like material is often attached to the stem of the hair and I wonder if this is what's helping kill them off. I had this as a problem when I original was balding 4yrs ago but it's only recently returned.
Does anyone have any advice or do I have to face up to the fact the treatments no longer work?
thanks
