1. Not christian and your as funny as a toilet seat, however might have misinterperated it and going to church brings back all hair could be true. I am sikh but not religious at all, I believe in science. In the case of my hair it is not helping me the slightest. Perhaps praying will help?

2. Sometimes but I know it does nothing, otherwise every who was married and with a Girlfriend would be bald.

Trust da Lord!

In my opinion ,you have alopecia totalis, which is usually caused by autoimmune disorder. There aren't much blood tests to confirm autoimmune disorders and its very difficult to tell if a person has one just by looking at them,so youll probably have to run thorough tests to confirm, this of course if your hairloss is caused by one.
Thyroid diseases such as hypo and hyperthyroidism cause alopecia areata, you have alopecia all over, so I dont think it is the thyroid.

If you use minoxidil, im not sure it will work bcuz if its autoimmune, youll have your body constantly attacking your follicles, and you would have to put it all over your head, twice a day...tough task.
Go to a good doctor, I dont think anybody on this forum is able to help you.

The thing about my hair loss is that it has followed a pettern, however is the opposite of male pattern baldness. I have thick hair where a normal person has a receding hairline, however thin hair everywhere else.

Um I will post a pic of what I mean

Posted more pics at http://s274.photobucket.com/albums/jj26 ... _tab_album

The dermotologist did a pull test to see if it was diffuse alopecia, however no hair came out. My hair though, it is in an awful state and has remained in this state for 2 and a half years. TBH the dermotologist had no idea what was going on so she told me to go on minixodil. They were discussing something called courtasol I think thats what it is, however said I should take minix as the courtasol required injections and could turn out to be pain for nothing, when minix could do it without the pain.

BTW Ealing hospital is not the best on the planet.

Um...you are definitely losing all over, and you seem to have a little more hair on hairline sides and lower back...but I dont think that matters much.I saw just yesterday a girl who was losing her hair all over too, though she had far less hair than you have now,it seemed kind of fuzzy. Who knows, maybe you both had the same disorder which is causing yuor hairloss.

You mean cortisol?
Its immunosupressant...maybe to stop your body from rejecting the hair follicles, they would give that to someone who has a autoimmune disease.

you have to go to a doctor. i bet there is something wrong causing this, so it wont be permanent (& that something wrong is probably no big thing). apply olive oil if you feel like, it wont do you any bad, but go see a doctor.

olive oil in your hair its gross, you dont want to put that, its used in food!
You would look like you had a severe amount of yellowish/greenish grease on your hair and scalp, plus it would shine.

I seem to have many tiny circles where there is no hair growth or at least hair is very thin. If that normal male pattern baldness as I know alopecia aretna causes big circles to occur, i dont think small ones though.

Is my best bet going to my Doctor and asking her about if I should start taking regaine, propecia etc?

Not only is it awful that I got this so early and so severe, but it has also stopped me from doing anything about it. Propecia I am too young for and I have so much hair loss, I would finish a regaine bottle in acouple weeks max.

Too young for propecia dude, Mine started at 15, I didn't start taking propecia until 17 and it was still too soon. Gotta at least be 18 according to the company, which is obviously a guideline, some get in below and are fine, but everyones different. So Hold off on the propecia. Rogaine should be fine though, and since your hair loss is difuse you may get a pretty good reaction from it.

I don't wanna push any wise tails on you, so proceed at your own risk, but saw palmetto could be worth a try, It may be complete voodoo but some people have said they have had responses to them however weak those may have been. May be worth a try since finasteride would be ill advised.

Is it true that male pattern baldness can only start after puberty? I am 16 now and my moustash is still very thin and my beard is also very thin. When I trin, It does not grow back thick at all and remains thin, however it is thickening up with time.

male pattern baldness can only start after puberty has started, but it can start before puberty is finished. I'm not sure it's a good idea to use facial hair as an indicator. Some guys have thin facial hair all their life. Doesn't look like male pattern baldness to me, but if that's what it is it might be DUPA (diffuse unpatterned alopecia)?

You should know what is causing your hair loss before starting any treatments.

The trichologist and dermotologist thought it was pre male pattern baldness, However were confused by the hair loss all over the head, so just told me to start regaine.

It is possible to lose hair through rubbing? I used to sleep alot and that is the only reason I can think og the thin hair on my sides and back. However, it is a perfect pattern on both sides so I am very confused.

Could there be any bad side effects from using regaine in such large amounts? I mean my hair loss is on the sides, the top and alittle on the back. Could it not cause a foggy head and other things like that?

Regaine is a drug, so using alot which I will need to, will not be a very good thing. The derm said it was pre male pattern baldness but I duno, my sides and back are worse than my fathers who is 30 years my senior.
