Has *anyone* had regrowth from finasteride alone?

By regrowth, I mean more hair compared to their personal baseline, before treatment. Without using minoxidil. (Nizoral optional, I doubt it does anything significant.)

If so, when did the improvement start?

I've been using it for 18 months and only now am I really seeing an insane amount of hair starting to grow. Like it is really noticeable with all the little tiny hairs sprouting all over my head. And before that I didn't think I saw anything happening. Well at 16 months the shedding completely was gone.

Because i can see thinning in front of my hairline and i don't know if it's male pattern baldness or age and my history..

I've some thin hairs op top and at the back of my head i think due my histor

Finasteride is supposed to block DHT, which is the cause of Male Pattern Baldness.

I am still in the same situation- hair looks thinner, and no growth. I don't think things have become worse though.

I was diagnosed with Telogen Effluvium, which provides an explanation for the diffuse loss (well, its increase compared to diffuse loss due to male pattern baldness alone), I'm still anxious to see when/if I get any rebound.

Additionally, the dermatologist I saw said not to expect ANY regrowth/improvement above baseline, yet there are users on this and other forums that have had that, according to their own photo evidence. I don't know what to believe.
