Hey guys,

I got quoted £2,600 for:

2 PRP

8 Mesotherapy

4 Months Laser FOC

What are your thoughts on this?

I'm 24 with a receding hairline and very early stages of thinning (not noticeable to the eye)

It's a scam. All of those treatments have pretty poor evidence supporting their efficacy.

Minoxidil and finasteride would be 10 times more effective and cost a 10th of the price.

Hi Doyle, thanks for your reply. You say it’s a scam, do you think this is because it’s fairly new or would you think there are signs of this?
Thanks

LLT has been around for quite some time. I wouldnt say its a straight scam, but I think the other poster put things in perspective pretty accurately. Your spending a whole lot of money to use treatments that do not offer the same proven upside as Finasteride and Minoxidil. Im actually using hairmax new laserband and ive used other laser products in the past...Im considering sending the laserband back as I recently started finasteride with my Rogaine Foam...Its def to early to know if its useful but I just feel like any results are likely due to the one two punch and not LLT.

It's not even that they are new treatments. Prp and laser therapy have been around for a while and are just totally lacking evidence. Even anecdotal evidence is poor or can be attributed to other reasons.

Some people report some minor improvements with prp but it's hardly sustainable and doesn't address the root issue of follicle sensitivity to dht

Mesotherapy is a total gimmick. The latest review states that it can actually cause hair loss.

It's a lot of money to throw at something that at best will give you some minor growth and at worst will cost thousands of pounds while your hair continues to get worse.
