Has anyone used 0.5mg of finasteride effectively?

if you get the tingling itchy feeling in your scalp does that mean that the finasteride is not working?

That means you have scalp inflammation. Do you use nizoral? Nobody can tell for sure if this feeling you describe is correlated with male pattern baldness or androgens, and if it is, you may have a little bit of it because actually finasteride IS working. If it wasn't you may had a lot of it. How can you tell? :)

I've noticed getting that tingling itchy feeling in my scalp in the places that im about to lose hair. It started 2 years ago at the front of my temples and keeps going back right before I lose hair in that spot. Does anyone else experience this?

I use 0.5mg/ day, along with nizoral every other day. I took rogaine for a couple of months, but quit (that was two months ago). It made no difference in neither shedding nor regrowth.

I used to take just propecia, 1mg/day, then reduced the dosage to 0.5mg 7 months ago because of the side effects. That was also when I added nizoral.

7 months into the regime, I can´t tell the difference. I started early with finasteride, so regrowth wasn´t really a big deal, for me it was about stopping shedding, and improving hair quality. Finasteride did that brilliantly, and apparently keeps doing so at a lower dose along with nizoral.

first,

I have a question you haven't already answered in your previous posts. How much dosage of the TOPICAL finasteride do you use each day?
I simply added half a pill to a minoxidil bottle. So 2.5 mg added, which equals to nearly the same amount I took internally per day.

I read your thread on you regime and you had a lower dosage of finasteride back then. You said that the higher dosage is not needed and shows no better results. Yet, currently now you take a higher dosage, why is that???

I never increased my finasteride dosage, I've only decreased it, for the most part I used 0.15 mg finasteride internally and roughly the same topically (added to the minoxidil). I think you are just reading me wrong though. I added 2.5 mg to an entire bottle of minoxidil, which lasted 20 days or so, hence it was 0.15 mg finasteride internally and 0.125 mg topically per day.
