Ive been dealing with hairloss since 20 but it was a slight itch. 2 years ago when i was on finasteride and minoxidil my hair exploded and i lost 50% of my hair in a spot within a week. my scalp was burning and sore there for thet next year. now im on dutasteride and have been for a year and 2 months and my scalp is sore as hell behind my hairline and its making my hair almost seperate in lines..

Very odd but ive tried everything including seti. spironolactone and oral minoxidil are my only options.. wtf, why is my hair still DYING on dutasteride as well

f*** man, I am sooooo sorry you're going through this f*****g bullshit still. As you know, I can relate. I was on dutasteride for two weeks and couldn't take it anymore. it felt like termites were constantly burrowing through my flesh and chewing my f*****g tissues. it was horrifying beyond words.

If dutasteride is doing this to you man, I don't see how it could be working. It makes no sense. Obviously any medication that is showing benefit to your follicles, isn't also causing drastic inflammation.

How long did you trial Seti for? Have you tried RU? I just started seti. I am also taking a bunch of supplements for inflammation. drinking alcohol helps too, haha. Ice packs are a life saver for me, and dermarolling definitely helps me as well.

There is ONE shampoo that seems to give me relief for a few hours at lease, and it's a mite shampoo. I have been using it for a while because I thought there was the possibility I had mites, and it contained a bunch of good ingredients anyways. IDK, for some reason, it helps. it's called demodex or something.

Dude - I hate to say this, but at least in my case, I did this to myself. I've always had male pattern baldness, but NEVER had scalp sensations. no itching, crawling, nothing... it all started with finasteride.

is this what happened to you? if so, we are just destined to be fucked by anti androgens. I think this happened to @Dench57 as well? watcha say dench?

Dude ive seen every Doctor that i could. ive seen about 4 derms and w transplant docs. i read through that zix thread actually.
It really sounds like your scalp is inflamed. I have used Folligen's copper peptide shampoo in the past whenever my scalp felt that way. It really does help. Also, when I mentioned this to my derm in the past she gave me a script for a topical corticosteroid. She told me that it's just the normal yeast that everyone has on their bodies, but it was causing some havoc on my scalp. I use it once a week and it seems to keep things calm.

I have exactly the same feeling on my scalp. It's like an never ending painful sore feeling with itch and pain that even prevents you from being relaxed at all...
I got that after quitting finasteride though. I never had that problem while on finasteride but had to quit due to unbearable fatigue:( I turned a NW3 in six months from a slightly thinned NW1
