Hasson&wong Liposomal Topical Finasteride- Anyone Using?

I, along with many, have sides from oral finasteride, hasson&wong's liposomal solution seems to be a good in-between. Has anyone got their hands on this solution, had results, or better yet, find that they have reduced sides from the topical solution vs the oral?

Before anyone says, "topical finasteride is the same as oral" please research the liposomal method of delivery, as it's believed to stay local ie no sides, which is why this could be a godsend for the sides suffering peeps.

I want this sh*t to hit the US already, someone fill us in on how it's working for them, please!

also very curious about this, haven't heard a thing about it, but after a little research it looks similar to the H&W approach to lower sides. Could you give us some more info, process, pricing, availability etc?

I believe it's .01 finasteride, 6% min and caffeine

$220, last 4 months. Call his office then send pictures and it'll come in the mail. It'sa spray. It goes on nice. I only used it for 2 weeks. I'm trying it in the mornings. It dry relatively fast and doesn't make your hair and oil slick or drys it out. I'm trying different hair products for style such as clay or pudy.

I was about to book a flight to go see Hasson & Wong for the prescription, then when I called to make an appointment the receptionist told me that they're not giving out prescriptions to US patients until it's able to be compounded in the US, not even if you go all the way to Vancouver.

As for the ETA on the USA availability, she guessed another 3-4 months (this was early July).

Would you be able to run hormone tests before and after using it for month or so? Could you also get a hair trap for your shower to measure how much you were losing before and after?

I have a before test.. but no DHT tested, no E2.. only testosterone. I'll try to get another blood test done before....

I'm amped to try topical finasteride, especially H&W's when it's available in the US. Although what I'm still trying to figure out is why topical finasteride works. Because inhibiting DHT locally makes sense but, as we know, finasteride inhibits 5AR and DHT more or less circulates in the body. So what's stopping 5AR somewhere else in the body from making DHT which circulates to the scalp?

This question's been asked before but I haven't found an explanation! I guess at the end of the day, if it works and has less systemic dht who cares lol. But still I'm curious.

By far, people would rather take a pill, so this is the route they took. To answer your question: Why don’t topicals work as well? It’s for many reasons. One reason is that it doesn’t stay in the skin long enough. That’s the problem with progesterone. It’s absorbed, metabolized, and carried away so quickly that it’s not effective when it’s applied topically. Another problem is absorption. There are very few things that get absorbed into skin very well at all. Its quite the protective device.”
