Anyone on here live under a hat almost 24/7? How do you cope with social settings e.g functions, weddings, even some plush bars will ask you take a hat off.

It would be interesting to hear how life is under a hat and any awkward scenarios that have came up e.g refusing to take a hat off at a wedding or something.

I used to be a professional poker player and stayed in the US for 3-6 months each year to play in the casinos. Since hats seem much more common there than in Europe, I wore a hat all the time because it made me feel comfortable and boosted my confidence a lot.

I ended up making some life long very close friends there and they didn't see me without a hat for 2 f*****g years. Every day I felt more committed and scared to reveal what I really looked like, they thought I was this super cool guy but inside I felt like I was wearing a mask and hiding my true identity.

I eventually ended up shaving my head because I figured if they ever notice at least that would be better than the rat's nest I was sporting. The first time I took it off was when we went on a roller coaster in a theme park and I was already strapped in the damn thing before I realized my mistake. Had no choice but to take it off because losing the damn thing would be even worse. While everyone else was screaming and crying their lungs out for the ride, I was crying for an entirely different reason. Of course the damn thing snapped a picture as well which they obviously ended up buying after the ride to show a bunch of other people as well. I looked like a f*****g egg because my skin was super fking white from wearing a hat 24/7. It was extremely embarrassing I can tell you that.

However, nobody made fun of me or said anything weird. They did say something like "oh I never seen you without a hat" but obviously they already knew I was gonna be heavily balding because they're not retarded and when you wear a hat in restaurants and parties and never show yourself without it you aren't really fooling anyone.

Long story short: whatever you do, DO NOT become a hat prisoner. It's a living hell, I was constantly worried someone would jokingly pull it off or the wind would blow it off or something.

I'm a hat prisoner.
I Wear a hat for like 3-4 Years now.
It's juste horrible and like derminator said, don't wear a hat to hide your baldness.
Personaly I regret.
But I think that it's depend of you. Because you can wear a hat for outside and take it off when you're inside a building like School or job for example. And I think this is better for you.
You hide your baldness for people that don't know you but not for people that you see everyday.
