I've been using Nizoral shampoo for so many years to prevent hair loss and for me it has worked well. I don't think i grew any additional hair but kept what I have. All of a sudden now I realize that Nizoral has been discontinued. :dunno:

What do I do? What is an alternative? Please help. I am trying to stay away from rogaine type products. Similar shampoo to thicken hair?

I was at cvs the other day and saw a large bottle. I think it's coming back slowly

how often do you use nizoral?

I've been on nizoral, rogaine, and proscar for 6 years, and I think my hair is fuller than it's been in a long while.

When I added eucapil to the mix, I stopped seeing the short, thin hairs in my sink. I use nizoral 3 times a week, because it inflames my scalp if I use it more.

I skip eucapil on the days I use nizoral, because I figure I've already used a dht blocker.

I use neutrogena t gel. Despite the smell, it works very well for scalp irritation. Give it a shot, its OTC in every drug store.

FWIW, I believe t gel was also the shampoo used during the finasteride trials

Nizoral does not prevent hairloss on its own. Chance sare you don't have male pattern baldness to begin with.

Says who? I think Nizoral is excellent and it could prevent male pattern baldness if you have it mild.
