Didn't know rogaine worked for the hairline. But as you know shedding will occur for sometime .. Could be why it may appear worse for the time being

Minoxidil causes hairs to shed and they are replaced by thicker hairs, so that's normal. When I first started using it the shedding was pretty distressing, like insane shed constantly. It usually stops after a couple of months

whats up

I've been using minoxidil on my hairline and I'd like to say it's doing me a lot of good. I've also been using finasteride/keto/dermarolling, so I'm unsure how much in impact its actually had. You're welcome to check out my success story.

Smart kid. You had a good hairline, now you better keep using Rogaine and hope it works for you for a while, coz if you stop say goodbye to all your hairs. RogaineMinox only make your scalp create more DHT receptors - your hair follicles will be super sensitive to DHT once you stop the rogaine program and you will shed everywhere.

I've NEVER heard this. Why wold hair gain more DHT receptors with min? MAYBE I could follow your logic if you said finasteride does this, because you are "starving' hairs of DHT, but not rogaine.

I think minoxidil shed the miniaturizing hairs and is synchronizing them with the rest of your hair trying to put them into a growth phase. The way I see it, if you shed or lose hair when you start a treatment it's a positive sign. I freaked out about my shed/loss when I first noticed it on Minoxidil but then I thought logically for about 3 seconds then stopped thinking and just decided to ask Google.

I know how you feel... everyday it seems to get worse and worse...AND worse and then one day you look in the mirror and you notice something different, BUT you dont want to get too happy too early so you just monitor it and while youre focusing on the area that just might have improved slightly another part of your head has gone completely bald. Now this becomes your main focus area, so much so that you dont even care about the previous one. But stick with it, remind yourself that you want to regrow hair and that youre taking action and you have a goal. Do not get scared and stop at sight of horrific sheds. Just put your tools in the shed, keep your backyard clean. <---"new guy"
