Last night I was having a conversation with a hairstylist and he told me that I would go bold for sure. I've been taking finasteride for six months and was hoping that my clearly thinner hair would return to its previous state, as it was last year this time. Or even better, two years ago. But yeah, it seems finasteride could not save me. Which is sad because my hair was still pretty much okay before any treatment.

new treatments are coming, i doubt you will bald so fast as you think, you might end up saving a nw3V which is an ideal stage for hair transplant and boom cured

6 months isnt long enough. Id say 1 year bare minimum maybe even stick it out for 2 years. There is nothing better that is any safer so why not give it enough time to make sure?

It's hard to say as i have been shaving it short since Dec last year. My hair has never looked as thin, my hairline has never been this far back, and never have IIbeen able to see my scalp like I can now. So i guess it's still getting worse... Recently added specialized shampoo and onion juice to my regimen.

I agree with you, I've recently committed until end of 2019. i have already changed my diet, purchased my next 6 months of finasteride and will be starting minoxidil soon

The minoxidil will make a huge difference, although like somebody else said on here it is 'a chemical wig' so it is a life long commitment.

Maybe you lost the battle but definitely not the war. You still have loads of treatment options available to get your hair back! A lot more than simply finasteride and minoxidil. Your next step should be dutasteride. Its a stronger drug than finasteride but works in the same way.

If I have not responded well to finasteride, why would the dutasteride be any different? I will also a face greater odds of side effects on dutasteride. Does it have greater success rates? Is it more expensive?

I personally don't like dutasteride. If you want something stronger that works in a different way look into spironolactone and Cyproterone acetate

Lol, lost the war...what a BS. You are only six months on finasteride, at least stick to it for a year. You might be in a shed right now and new hairs will come back stronger.

Oh and don't bother expensive shampoos, waste of money. Just add nizarol once a week.

Give the treatments up to a year and a half then start looking into a hair transplant.

Your hair looks nice. Yes you will go bald. Be a man, get shredded and get laid. Forget hair.
My hair looked* nice. Getting shredded is definitely the way to go, hair or no hair. However I liked having hair, and I should try and save it sooner rather than later. But dw, I am lifting.
