Have the top doctors "mastered" the technique?

My question is is there a difference between the results of the top strip doctors or has it got to the point that the top strip doctors have basically mastered the technique and the results are basically the same?

More specifically, is there any difference between the results of Hasson, Wong or Shapiro? (or please reply with a certain doctor that might be considered in this group or if you think one of these doctors isn't the best)

I am getting close to the mindset that the results of Hasson, Wong and Shapiro are basically 'wow' results everytime with a VERY small strip scar everytime. And that basically when you go to Hasson, Wong, or Shapiro that you are buying the best result and it can't get any better (they are all the same i.e no difference, it can't get any better).

Do you agree or disagree? Thanks in advance.

(this is NOT a debate on Strip vs. FUE. I only intend this to be about the results of Strip doctors)

That's a good question Chief. When you compare the top doctors (many others would be included), you are comparing excellent to excellent. The differences really come down to subtle style, technique, philosophy and design techniques. For example, Dr. Hasson has set himself up to to the very large ultra refined sessions. Other doctors will do somewhat smaller sessions (but still quite large). Dr. Hasson does not like the larger 3 and 4 hair grafts and prefers to place many densly packed ones and twos. Dr. Shapiro believes that better density is achieved from using naturally occuring 3's and 4's. Dr. Shapiro has a certain artistic approach to hairline design that arguably no other doctor can approach. Some doctors will always go with a high hairline. Others are more aggressive in hairline placement and temple closure.

Those are just a few of the differences. Yet, overall the top doctors all use very refined techniques that are minimally invasive and produce great, very natural looking results. Which one is better? It's up to the patient to look at the suble differenes and decide for himself.

Its important to remember that you only get to see the very best results of any Dr. The average/mediocre results dont usualy get posted on the forums or feature in the literature. So dont be looking at specific individuals results and thinking that yours will be just the same.

You should look at some more Strip docs like feller, Armani, bernstein, Rahal. They produce "wow" results too. As for the scars, it's a very subjective areas b/c everyone has different healing characteristics and that "everytime" is a bit naive b/c you DONT see every result only the really good ones or a few bad ones.

There may be doctors/clinics who are preeminent in their field of expertise, although hopefully none consider themselves to have "mastered" the technique as this may inhibit further refinements and innovation. Remember, innovation stops stagnation!
